That's where I get all of mine.

I'm not sure which comic I want to get next month.  Perhaps we need a comic book review thread for suggestions to those wanting to read some interesting things.

If Snyder is a fan of Batman And Robin, imagine what he could do to Watchmen?

The comic was originally written as a serious pseudo-commentary on the super-hero comic books of the time. The movie is designed to accomplish the same for contemporary super-hero movies that we would be familiar with. The tone will be entirely different - I'd not worry about it.

Think of it as an homage to other movies, just as the book was an homage to other comics.

Also, please take into account that Ozymandias styles himself after the Ancient Greeks, particularly Alexander the Great, and that the Greek soldiers of the time actually wore armor like this:

Note the sculpted musculature.

If you you're looking for suggested reading I'm sure that I could be of some help. Send me a PM or an IM and I'll toss some ideas your way.

That's an open invitation for everyone, too.

I'm watching Idiocracy, and it's talking about how stupid people will be in 500 years...but all of their stupidity seems to be what people act like now...

Idiocracy is a scarily believable look at the future.  It is one of the few movies that I bought on DVD, as apposed to renting or borrowing.

Well yes, it's accurate.  The only sad part is they think it'll take 500 years to get that bad when it practically is now.  I give it 10 years til it gets that bad, max.  (If the world doesn't end, first.)

I think it'll take a longer than 10. Yes, people now can be quite stupid. But there aren't all that stupid. There are still smart ones. Most of the people on this board, or over on Giant, or just that I meet every day at my job.

As long as there are smart ones, the stupid will not win.

"Evil will always triumph over good.  Because good is dumb."

Seriously, there are more dumb people than smart, and stupid makes for very dangerous situations.  (If good is dumb, and they won the battle against Dark Helmet, then obviously dumb'll always win.)

I just watched Hobgoblins.

For those who have not watched Hobgoblins: Do not watch Hobgoblins.

The Gamers: Dorkness Rising

For those of you who play DnD, you should watch it. It may not have the greatest acting (but it's damn good for what is really an amateur production), but it's got bundles of laughs, silly jokes, and is just overall amusing. Very Happy

Just a quick one.

Have you ever heard of respect for the source material? Wolverine Origins hasn't.

Went and watched Up.  It was amusing and funny, dragged a little in the middle, but overall, rather amusing.  I'll be buying it on DVD when it comes out.  4 out of 5 stars
