I was thinking the other day (always a bad sign) and I realized that the thing keeping the modern town popular was Xaviers school for specially gifted powers, or what ever it was called. While they were not exactly super heroes, the idea of super powered people did seem to be popular. Then though "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if their were a whole town full of them." And so, here I am suggesting my idea. So, if you guys want to do this then I have some Ideas. First, you can play heroes or villains of any kind. We could get a lot of really cool fights out it. You can also play a none powered character, who has to live in a society full of heroes and villains. We can have organized groups of heroes that fight together o you can fight by your self. Also, if your going to do  invulnerability, make it limited. You cant just have one weakness and then be inpewervios to everything else. It just doesn't wouldnt be fun. Try to keep your powers limited and creative. What do you guys think?

That's really what Modern town is...so why don't you keep it in Modern?  There's a bunch of angelic beings in Town Town...but you don't see us making a town just for them...

Have your superheros show up in modern town, Sandstorm would be happy to find work for them. I know, I know, shameless plug for my organization.

So? Just introduce a super-powered character. They don't have to be linked to the school, or any particular plot, if you don't want them to be.
You can play a Cleric in Town without having any links to the Temple of Inari...

Coroko rebuilt the school.

But all the surviving students went to normal Town.

Decent idea, and, were I not already running a highly convuluted Modern Town plot that actually also spans into normal Town (yes, a cross-Town plot), I might try helping.

Coroko rebuilt the school.

Did you ask Nevr about that? Because it was his school/thread, so I believe he should have say as to whether or not it'd be rebuilt?

I had a superhero plot running, complete with an incredibly powerful and amazingly evil artificial intelligence bad-guy, but then people lost interest. I would love to start it up again, if people would be willing to, you know, play in it.

Also, I should say that I agree with the idea of upping the number of superheroic/supervillainous characters in Modern Town, primarily because I suggested that exact same thing several months ago. Oh, how time flies.

EDIT

That... sounded really rude when I read it to myself, and for that I apologize. I guess I've been under too much stress, as I don't usually let my personal state seep into my posts like that. If I may start again...

Ahem.

I love the idea of having Modern Town become sort of a "Superhero/Supervillain" roleplaying area, because I happen to have a huge fondness for that genre. I had a plot running a while ago that dealt with that same subject matter, but it ground to a halt due to lack of interest. Perhaps now, if people start playing in Modern Town again, I can continue on with it? If anyone's interested, please send me a PM and I can get started immediately.

Hm.  I've tried a few superhero freeform rpgs before, and there's one character idea in particular that I like.  Unfortunately, the games tend to fall apart.  If it gets up and running there's a good chance I'll try to get involved.  I'll give it some more thought and get back to you when I get home this afternoon.

*raises hand*

I'm also up for any superhero/villain plots.

Villain plots?

If I have time, I may pop my head round the corner and create an evil villain. Maybe one with a curly mustache, and an evil grin, and a great long speech for when he's got the hero in his clutches.

Or maybe a villain who's actually a tad competant.
