Ok, I just had to get this out there. Every once in a while a webcomic does something so unbelievably right, that I have to show people, even people that probably don't read webcomics. Well, Irregular webcomics did something very right. For the set up, all you need to understand is that the Allasaur was elected president of the US some time ago. Read this strip for some context, the take a look at today's. _________________ characters

We of the Order of the Stick derived community should not expect much of a comic from Aesthetics. That is to say, a webcomic involving stick figures is not inherently bad. For examples, the well done storyline of OotS, or the intelligent nonsequitors of XKCD makes these two comics relatively good. Should we claim a comic is sucky because it involves miniatures or legos?
I don't think we should. That said, I think this comic is good for a quick laugh here or there.
And Chtulhu vs. a Raptor... *Ponder's presidential choice*
just imo, no point saying things without a reason. Just didn't seem to me like that had been your reason. As an example, for me just because things don't make sense, doesn't make them sucky (for me though, everyone is different)
Sort of being random in my thought here. _________________ Living in Scoundrel Days
To understand it, you have to read each storyline from the beginning...that makes it a lot better.
That said, I'm quite attached too it in a patriotic way: David Morgan-Mar is an Australian. _________________ "Think long and hard. You've been bird-doggin' this township for a while now. Well, only if you understand physics jokes, but he tends to explain those in the annotations.
Basically, the comic has ten or so self-contained storylines that cross over from time to time, but the daily updates are non-sequential, for example, the Shakespeare theme could update one day and the Mythbusters one the next.
As long as you read each storyline individually, it makes sense. _________________ "Think long and hard. You've been bird-doggin' this township for a while now. They wouldn't mind a corpse of you. Mom helped me just realize something...Texas IS Town...
No other US State has everything like this:
It's got a region that's the tiniest bit off of being a mountainous region.
Areas around Houston are both a forest and a swamp.
We have a river running through it.
There's a desert. (That's where I live)
There's a hilly region.
We have crazy weather, and even though a lot of regions are far to the south, we still get snow. At weird times.
Theres the plains.
There's the city in between all of the above.
If you want to go somewhere that's completely every region you can think of, think of TX. (Of course, it's possible that TX can become it's own country. But counting it as one state, it is the most diverse.) _________________
Nifty. I think BC might actually qualify as well for that, with the added bonus that Vancouver has a whole bunch of areas within it that are really different from each other. And the swamp is actually a bog. And the desert doesn't have much sand. but it applies! _________________ Avatar by Vael

I forgot to tell y'all about what happened yesterday (since my net wasn't working)
Mom had Crystal (guinea pig) out and was petting on her. Normally, Tubby (pig in my sig) would be like 'it's a girl' and ignore everything else completely. But Crystal bit Mom. Mom tossed her (not like throw, just a rough set) to the bottom of the bed and was crying. Normally, a boy piggie would be like 'it's a girl' and follow. He sat up and comforted my mom, kissing on her and purring, trying to make sure that she was okay. He completely ignored Crystal. _________________
We have two 'puppies' that are over 100 lb, Liberty Belle and Tucker (they were born on the 4th of July last year.) Technically, they ARE still puppies, because they don't reach adullthood until 2 years old.
Belle's really sweet and quiet and walks beside you when you're outside. Tucker is super hyperactive and bounds away only to run back to barrel into people. He actually hurt his sister because he doesn't watch where he's going and he laid down on top of her yesterday.
Tucker scares me. I'm just waiting until the day he actually bowls me over and completely ruins what's left of my spine. (He further injured my knee by whacking it with his tail. [That thing is an inch and a half thick. And they have short fur, so it hits like a whip.])
Dogs that large shouldn't be able to bound... _________________
Yossarian: Ok, let me see if I've got this straight. In order to be grounded, I've got to be crazy. And I must be crazy to keep flying. But if I ask to be grounded, that means I'm not crazy anymore, and I have to keep flying.
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka: You got it, that's Catch-22.
Yossarian: Whoo... That's some catch, that Catch-22.
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka: It's the best there is. _________________ Endellion Archive
