Kerri studies the other stuff they've found, wondering if any of it could be useful to her. She's not really the right person to identify potions anyway.

Using another charge from Novia's wand [Heal 5], she is able to get most of the larger wounds on her wolf patched up good enough for more adventuring (Wolf's now 10/13 hp).

Kerri finds the studded leather worn by the living goblinoid particularly intriguing, but all of the other items (except the vials/flasks, of course) are of little interest.

Delgar can't identify potions other. He's busy considering the merits of using the very nice scimitar over his own admittedly not as nice longsword. He knew how to use it, of course, but it just wouldn't be able to dish out the same amount of damage. Still, it was much better craftsmanship...

Think 'll be taking this.

Haemus nods.  "Help yourself.   If it's not an axe, I'm not much interested."

Kerri studies the studded leather Nice piece of armor, this one

Unfortunatly her current chain shirt provides just a tiny bit more protection, or she'd have claimed the leather. Masterwork is always nicer.

...Okay, we have nobody who can identify potions. That'll be handy.
I never said that all of the flasks and vials were potions, anyway. They could be poison, for instance.

Or acid, or alchemists' fire.  Antitoxin or holy water.  Or wine, ale or spirits.

So many nonmagical choices.

Taking a small taste of each one is probably a bad idea, isn't it?

How sad, those vials could probably have come in handy. Whatever they are. But Kerri sure won't taste any of them without knowing what they are. She could easily be persuaded to make someone else take a sip of them all, she wouldn't mind that.

Delgar will probably bring them along anyways. He can always throw them at things to see if they explode, or something.

Okay, that's fair enough.
Now, there is the matter of this door to the north of the room, which supposedly leads onwards...

Not like there's anywhere else to go, is there? Delgar will wait till everyone's ready, give it a quick once-over to see if opening it will cause nasty things to happen, and give it a shove.

Kerri packs up the leather in a place where she can find it again. It was nice, and if nothing else could earn her a little gold back in the village. She doesn't want to drag it around too much though, as that would slow her down.

Once that little detail is taken care of, she follows behind Delgar.

Delgar looks over the door, and finds that it while it isn't trapped, it is locked. It looks like a reasonably complex lock as well.

Well, he'll have a go at opening it then. May as well spend the time to take 20, unless anyone has a key? If he can't get it open, let's hear suggestions.

None here.   Haemus' lockpick looks a lot like an axe.

And Haemus' 'lockpick' might actually be the more effective of the two, because Delgar finds this lock beyond his ability to pick.

Morningmist shakes her head.  "I've nae mastered the striking hawk technique, so your axe is probably best."

Kerri considers the problem too. Haemus' axe sounded like a good plan to her. She hmms and reaches for her flail, to make sure she's still got it A few good hits with my flail could help too. It's sure to alert anything that might be on the other side, though.

Kerri shrugs, sheathes her blade and draws her flail, then moves to give the door a few good hits, making room for Haemus to help out with his axe if he likes.

Well, since Haemus hasn't stated whether or not he does help, Kerri eventually manages to bring the door down on her own.
And by eventually, I mean after roughly 3 minutes. And maybe now a blunted scimitar, cuz that door was made out of stone.

But the point is, it's now bashed open.

Edit: And, apparently, I can't read for beans. =/

Well, then it sure was a good thing she used her flail to bash the door, and not the falchion. The flail should be no more blunt than it was to begin with.

Anyway, Kerri looks through the opening, her flail still ready in case something jumps out at them or something.

Beyond the smashed door is a long stone corridor that continues into the darkness and appears to be sloped downward slightly.

So who wants to go first? Delgar laughs and, with his torch and his sword, starts walking down the tunnel.
