My first guinea pig--Wig--had died two days ago.

Today, his first set of tricolour grandchildren were born.  I have named the cutest Wiggie in honour of her grandfather.

(Yes, I know the bed is messy.  We've got meds and other stuff over it to try to fix some very sick piggies.)

I swear, if it weren't for you and your adorable pets, this thread would die.

Probably...but they're worth sharing.  Especially Wiggie and Tubby.

(Tubby isn't actually fat.  He's just in the food bowl 90% of the time.)

Did I say that was a bad thing?  This thread reminds me that, even though I'm 14, there are still things that are nigh-uncorruptably cute.

What? Your life has had the cuteness yanked out of it at just 14?! NO, no, that is very bad, you poor thing. Here. Look at these pictures to help you get the cute back in your day. Also check out the baby pandas pic on that site.

I saw a Husky that had to be about 200 lb... (no lie.)

Older people or young people shouldn't own animals that need a lot of exercise.  Cuz neither can give it to them.  Huskies are a work animal.  They need exercise...with weight behind them, if possible.

Yep, and that's why when I move out I'm gonna get a house with a big yard and get a husky or two. It'll be somewhere up north so they can work in the snow.

It doesn't have to be snow...but it is nice for 'em.  They've got really thick coats.

I've always wanted a wolf.  I got to play with one once.  Got my picture taken with it, too.  (It was at the science spectrum...)

Sure they're cute...until you get a finger close enough for them to bite...

I hate hamsters...

Here are some pictures of the tadpoles.  Because of their size, the close up pictures don't always work so well.

That's a neat little habitat you have going there. And I didn't know they made tadpole food.

Yeah, but they don't seem to eat it.  I go and collect green slimey rocks from the ditch, they love those.

I remember me and a bunch of my friends kept a ton of tadpoles in what was really a plastic sandbox, but it got filled with water in the rain, and we never fed them, just made sure to have the grass and stuff like in the ditches. We kept the lid on it for a while too, and so we had a whole bunch of teeny weeny frogs jumping around inside. They were sooo cute!

Kendra caught these in the ditch, I only use ditch water with them, don't want to kill them with tap water.  The container they're in, is actually a large litter box that I bought at the store.  I expect they'll become cute little frogs and I hope we don't miss that part (we'll be in Utah from 11-16 June).  When they've changed we will release the frogs back to the ditch.

Awww, I love frogs, and tadpoles too. That's a nice set-up, and I'm counting like 20 frogs/tadpoles in that picture. It must be sooo fun for Kendra.

I tried to raise some tadpoles as a kid, but I didn't do a very good job of it and they died... I'm a tadpole killer *hides head in shame*
I tried to take good care of them, but I was just a kid and my parents didn't want anything to do with 'slimy icky tadpoles'.

Anyhow, I just found some bunny pictures I didn't know I still had on my computer. I'll have to see if I can put them up here.

I used to love catching frogs and turtles when I was a kid.  I kept most of them in a big aquarium, but the frogs inevitably escaped somehow and hid under a chair or couch until they died.  Fun fact: when they dehydrate, they end up as dead, dried out, mummy-frogs.  Not the most fun thing for mother to find when she's vaccuming underneath the furnature.  Understandably, my short stint as a frog keeper didn't last very long.

There are at least 30 frogs and 10-15 about to turn into frogs.  We'll be releasing them back into the ditch soon, to live their little frog lives.
