Anemone picks up a small rock and throws it at the wall. The rock flies through the air, and straight through the transparent wall before landing on the green rug, as if there had been no wall at all. A second later the wall turns solid again, and a few more seconds after that it becomes transparent once more, and so on in no discernable pattern. Nothing else seems to happen. _________________ Character Descriptions | deviantArt
"Nor do I trust the consequences that would be brought about by casting any dispells in this room," Chaer says cautiously. "Besides, we do not know the completeness of this illusion, if it is one at all. Hm... If someone with muscle could come and help me, it would be appreciated."
He then avoids the chandelier puddle by climbing over the tables, coming to a stop before the last table, which he tries to push part-way into the wall to test whether or not the wall is simply a malfunctioning illusion. _________________ The Chilli God Has Spoken. Characters & Art
At the urge of Chaer, Anemone may want to reconsider the dispelling for now.
Chaer and Irruvian go about pushing the table into the wall. The table hits against the wall as it fades back in. If it is an illusion, it sure is a good one, with substance and all. A few seconds later the wall becomes transparent again and the table slowly pushes its way through as if there was no wall.
Cassandra, meanwhile, finds nothing of particular interest back there. Tables, wax, maybe a stray spoon and probably a lot of dirt. _________________ Character Descriptions | deviantArt
Hokay, so there's probably now a table in the middle of the wall. Chaer waits for a smidgin longer to see if the table doesn't snap in half or disappear when the wall reappears. _________________ The Chilli God Has Spoken. Characters & Art
As the wall becomes solid again, the table is shunted off, probably ending up on the other side of the wall in the library. Waiting a few more seconds will confirm that, indeed the table was pushed off by the wall and now stands in the library, somewhat scratched from the ordeal. _________________ Character Descriptions | deviantArt
That's all the reassurance Chaer needs.
He'll wait for the wall to disappear and resolidify another time, before quickly jumping across to the green-carpeted library. Once there, and assuming he isn't blasted by fel magic traps or angry demons, he'll inspect the two corpses to determine their cause of death.
Chaer passes through the wall just fine, and is blasted by neither fell traps nor demons.
The two corpses are of a beautiful, red-haired woman and a large, somewhat brutish looking man. They appear to have been in a somewhat heated battle, killed by something sharp and pointy, probably a spear of some sort. The wounds are quite nasty and must have bled a lot, suggesting it was no ordinary weapon. These two don't look like demon cultists either, and more likely belongs to the doomed party of demon hunters to which both the paladin and Karil's undead friend in the small house outside belonged. Deckard may start to wonder what happened to his rogueish halfling friend who sent him the broken message and was supposed to be in that group of hunters as well. These two certainly didn't fare much better than the paladin and Karil's friend, whatever happened it's clear that the previous party met much more resistance than they anticipated. _________________ Character Descriptions | deviantArt
"Hm. Whoever killed them must still be around."
Chaer pauses after his inspection then looks up and back at the party. While the wall is disappeared, he gestures at them to come over. _________________ The Chilli God Has Spoken. Characters & Art
Deckard has been wondering that for a long time, which is why he's so keen on searching the whole place. Given what they've found so far, he's beginning to suspect the halfling won't have fared much better, but there's hope as long as she isn't discovered dead. _________________ Avatar by Vael

Or the corpses may have been brought here, since there are no particular signs of combat in this room. Why anyone would care to bring them here is another question, though. Oh, and if Anemone is paying attention, she may recognise the red-haired woman as Anselina Devilsbane, a hunter of fiends and companion of the paladin. The big man, on the other hand, is not known by any in the group. They seem to have faired a little better than the paladin, having atleast not been mutilated and stuffed with seasonings.
The small tower is open to the ceiling, but 10-foot-wide catwalks that circle the tower’s interior are set 10 feet and 20 feet up the tower. The spiral, iron staircase braced against the northern side of the library grants access to each catwalk. Seven-foot-high bookshelves line the library walls, both on the floor and on the catwalks; all are crammed full of books, scrolls, and maps.
Or... they were, until a sudden storm whips out most of them and spreads them all over the place. Luckily for anyone who wanted to search the library, perhaps, only about half of the bookcases are blasted, and even some of the now scattered books and scrolls may be salvageable... though of course, they are no longer neatly organized.
The storm doesn't seem to do much of anything, other than razing the poor, defenseless bookcases.
((You know, Lykan, it would be nice if you'd pause to discuss such actions with the others. Or atleast give them fair warning. I don't mind you kicking in doors or blowing stuff up, just... you're not the only player, and someone might want to try to move in quietly, or search the place before it's blown up, or something))
Chaer provides Anemone with a slow and bitingly sarcastic golfclap during the rain.
"I believe that there is no longer anything of interest on this level," he then says, before shaking off some of the wetness in a manner similar to a dog. After that, he then heads towards the staircase. _________________ The Chilli God Has Spoken. Characters & Art
Irruvian shakes his head and considers the flickering wall for a moment, before jumping through as the others did. He sighs, seeing the mess that the books were now in. The elf walks among the shelves on the ground floor of the tower, loooking at the titles. _________________ A single dagger in the night is worth a thousand swords at dawn.

There are plenty of books on the shelves for Irruvian to look at. Many are religious in nature, or concerned with regional history and other such topics. Aside from being wet, none of them seem to be of particular interest, although a library like this could perhaps fetch a nice price in itself.
Chaer decides to go look higher up. The staircase is awfully squeaky, but seems safe enough. As he steps onto the staircase something moves in the corner of his eye. Turning to look, he sees to his terror one of the bookcases, tumbling down towards him. Before he can jump out of the way, the large thing crashes down upon him [30 damage]. Near the top of the staircase, standing on the second catwalk, a creature appears as if out of thin air. A winged, incredibly handsome man, with basalt skin and clawed hands and feet. Noone had seen him there before.
As soon as the bookcase hits Chaer, another figure appears just as mysteriously on the second catwalk, near the strange wall. This one is the familiar vulture demon they fought back in the kitchen, the one that managed to flee when the other two were killed. It still bears the wounds from that battle as it lets out a terrible, piercing screech at the three down on the ground level ((Fortitude save from Deckard and Anemone, DC 22, or be stunned for 1 round))
The wall is currently transparent.
