Rewriting Shakespeare...Town style.

I got bored and came up with a Town related project. I started rewriting Shakespeare plays with Town characters. So far I've gotten halfway through Act I of Romeo and Juliet. Below in the spoiler is the cast list.

Spoiler:

Romeo Ė Darkblade
Juliet - Erín
Friar Lawrence - Cosmo
Mercutio - Czar Prohibition
The Nurse Ė Krysta
Tybalt- Rike
Capulet-Aerin Osari
Lady Capulet - Police Chief Golem
Montague - Clergyman State
Lady Montague - The Blind Justice
Paris - Kyrian
Benvolio - Sir Conviction
Prince Escalus - Mayor Gwen
Friar John - NPC #436345
Sampson & Gregory & Peter - Police NPCs
Balthasar & Abram - KNAVES NPCs
The Apothecary - The Gent

Comments? Questions? Yelling at me for using your characters?
DivineAmour

Can I yell at you for *not* using my characters?
Destro Yersul

Cool. I volunteer Destro for anything related to either magic or fish.  Razz

Post it when you're done, eh?
Darkblade

There are way to many characters in Town to make use of them all in a single play. Give me some time.
DivineAmour

Alright...also Cosmo as the Friar is awesome. Pure awesome.
Destro Yersul

OOh! When you're done with Romeo and Juliet, do MacBeth! I've always liked MacBeth.
Wukei

Don't say that word...you'll jinx it...
blackout

That's just a myth, right?

Oh, and feel free to use Lucas...wherever.
Wukei

Actually, it's not so much a myth, but it's only bad luck in the theatre.
ValdisRequiem

Ooh, I like Hamlet!
>>
<<
Please do Hamlet eventually?
Destro Yersul

Aye, Wukei's got it. And seeing as my house isn't a theater, I'll be fine. Of course, back when I did stage crew for the school, it was always referred to as the Scottish Play. You do not mess with the MacBeth curse.
Wukei

The whole myth is that at the Globe Theatre, each time it was produced there was some bad injury.  The biggest part is somebody supposedly died in it's last production at the Globe Theatre.  The years after that, every time someone said the name of the play behind the stage (on the stage they have to say it, as it's the name of one of the characters) people got injured again.

So now it is always referred to inside the theatre--except on stage--as the Scottish Play.
Nevrmore

Czar is Mercutio?? That seems like an odd choice.
Keledrath

Okay, just because I can't remember the last time I saw Romeo & Juliet, who the heck is Tybalt?
Darkblade

Okay...

The next play I'm going to do after this one will be Merchant of Venice, then either Hamlet or Macbeth.

Spark Notes wrote:
Tybalt - A Capulet, Julietís cousin on her motherís side. Vain, fashionable, supremely aware of courtesy and the lack of it, he becomes aggressive, violent, and quick to draw his sword when he feels his pride has been injured. Once drawn, his sword is something to be feared. He loathes Montagues.
Keledrath

Sweet.
Castaras

This for some strange reason reminds me of the time when at my drama club we had to improvise Romeo and Juliet. Teletubbies style.

<.< >.>

I look forward to seeing this and other plays. =P
Renom

Sign up either Rhon or Rok for A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Wukei

I could see Mikhail as Puck...but none of you younguns know who the hell he is...
Renom

I happen to know who Puck is.
Keledrath

I do!  the guy that does the partner screwing up!
Wukei

I meant Mikhail...
Kyrian

I recall Mikhail...
Wukei

He was my mischevous demon who fell in love with one of Fen's characters and suddenly faded into the bg

Nothing like a mischevous pirate with magic powers to shake things up.
Castaras

I remember Mikhail...He was in love with...It was one of Fen's from Winterhearth? Can't remember now...was a while ago I was lurking in Inari's...
Wukei

Kazuki.  They met at Trog's.  Mikhail was a lot more against women back when they first met.  He's become tolerant.
McBish

The whole MacBeth thing is supposedly because Shakespear used "real" spells for the withches dialouge.  Ever since then it has been considered bad luck to say it in a theatre.  I have had some personal experiance with this.  The day one of the proffesors said it in the Theatre someone poped their knee out of joint and spent the rest of the run of the show on crutches.
Darkblade

Act 1 Scene 1 is ready.

Spoiler:

ACT I

SCENE I. Streets Thread.

Enter JOHN and CHUCK, of the Town Police

JOHN
CHUCK, when does our patrol shift end?

CHUCK
Not much longer, JOHN. I hate patrol.

JOHN
Eh, it could be worse. We could be patrolling the slums.

CHUCK
True nothingís worse than the Slums.

JOHN
What about KNAVES?

CHUCK
Iíd rather face down Soldados then some of the stuff hiding in the Slums.

JOHN
The slums are mostly just Thugs and KNAVES have PCs.

CHUCK
There are PCs in the Slums too. Remember Zerzura.

JOHN
Well heís been gone for months.

CHUCK
Probably just deadtime.

JOHN
Maybe but Iíd still rather see him then KNAVES. I have to walk by their base at night when I go home. The elemental plane of fire will freeze over if a night goes by when there arenít agonized screams coming from their castle.

CHUCK
You are just freaked out by the bat wings.

JOHN
Well yeah but they have got to be the Townís worst. I mean their leader what is he? Some kind of undead fascist robot?

CHUCK
Hell if I know.

JOHN
Yeah. Remember last April, they attacked us right at the station even when it was indestructible.

CHUCK
Of course I do. They dropped us right into the sewers and kidnapped one of the fairies.

JOHN
They got a lot of good men that day...Weíre lucky to still be alive.

CHUCK
Speaking of KNAVES, we got a pair of Soldados heading this way.

JOHN
Youíre kidding me. Should we call for some PC back up?

CHUCK
Thereís only two of them. We can take them.

JOHN
You better be right.

CHUCK
Weíre the good guys here right? How can we lose?

JOHN
Hold back though. We donít know for sure these two have done anything illegal.

CHUCK
Yeah right. Like there is such a thing as an innocent KNAVE.

JOHN
Tell that to the courts

Enter ROB and DON of KNAVES

ROB
Hey look some of those jokers who call themselves Town Police.

JOHN
What do you want KNAVES?

ROB
Only to rid this town of its criminal scum. Like you two.

JOHN
[Aside to CHUCK] That enough to arrest them yet?

CHUCK
No, not yet.

JOHN
We arenít the criminals here.

CHUCK
Weíre merely peace keepers?

ROB
Peace keepers? Thats why you let the murders, thieves and rapists go free then? Great job youíre doing.

JOHN
Since when is murder not a crime?

ROB
We only stop the criminals from any further offences.

JOHN
Of course you are.

CHUCK
[Aside to John] Is that who I think it is coming?

JOHN
[Aside to Chuck] Itís one of their PCs weíre over our heads now.

ROB
Hope your Gods are more forgiving then us.

JOHN
Weíre not afraid of you.

They fight

Enter SIR CONVICTION

SIR CONVICTION
Part, fools! Put down your swords; these fools are not worth your effort.

Beats down their swords

Enter RIKE

RIKE
[To John and Chuck] What are you two doing? Get them their terrorists!

SIR CONVICTION
For crying out loud. Donít you PC Police have better things to do?

RIKE
Youíre one to talk KNAVE.

They fight

Enter, several of both factions, who join the fray; then enter Commoners, with clubs

First Commoner
Neither of them actually deal with the crime they claim to fight. Down with KNAVES! Down with the Town Police!

Enter AERIN OSARI , and POLICE CHIEF

AERIN OSARI
Whatís going on here?

POLICE CHIEF
It seems some KNAVES are making a scene or beginning a plot.

AERIN OSARI
To arms Clergyman State himself is coming.

Enter CLERGYMAN STATE and THE BLIND JUSTICE

CLERGYMAN STATE
Police Chief Osari. Lovely evening isnít it?

AERIN OSARI
Youíd think so wouldnít you State.

Enter GWEN, with Attendants

GWEN
Brutal tyrants trying to take the city and inefficient peacekeepers hardly keeping crime in check. All you two groups do anymore is do battle in the streets. Here me! You are worse than animals and I should know being a Druid. Cease your senseless fighting. Drop your weapons. That goes for you too Aerin. Listen and take this civil decree from your Mayor. These brutal fights across the street thread between KNAVES and the Police have disrupted any form of safety that the citizens of this Town once had. If another brawl of this calibre erupts into our streets again, those directly involved shall be banished from the Town. For now all of you go home: Aerin; return to my gardens with me: State, I better not see you outside of your castle any time soon,

CLERGYMAN STATE
Very well, mayor.

Exeunt all but CLERGYMAN STATE, THE BLIND JUSTICE, and SIR CONVICTION

CLERGYMAN STATE
Why did you allow a battle with the Police to last long enough to draw civilian attention? I expect better from my Oficlales.

SIR CONVICTION
Two NPC Soldados were having some trouble with some NPC Police Officers and summoned me. I thought it a waste of my time and held back until the our NPCs started losing so I tried to scare off the Police not wanting to waste my time on pitiful souls like theirís. Then that hothead Rike showed up and it more or less broke into the disaster you saw until Gwen showed up and broke it apart.

THE BLIND JUSTICE
Where is Darkblade?  Have you seen him today? Good thing he wasnít here, itíd be bad to lose a mercenary due to legal trouble.

SIR CONVICTION
Darkblade has been avoiding us for the last few days. I saw him this morning but he went out of his way to avoid me. I have concerns about his loyalty.

CLERGYMEN STATE
Yes he has seemed distracted for the last few days as he has gone about his duties. He is though a mercenary only working for us for pay, his kind arenít well known for their loyalty. Should he do anything against the KNAVES Party do not hesitate to remove him.

SIR CONVICTION
Do you know why he is so distracted as of late?

CLERGYMAN STATE
I do not but I intend to find out if possible before too long.

SIR CONVICTION
Have you tried just asking him?

CLERGYMAN STATE
Of course I have, but he has resisted my efforts, he keeps his secrets close to his chest. So far evading my discovery of them. Could I learn what was plaguing him though he might regret telling me so itís of no surprise he is so secretive. He might not enjoy my solution.

Enter DARKBLADE

SIR CONVICTION
Here he is. Iíll find out whatís bothering him.

CLERGYMAN STATE
See that you do. If it is anyway dangerous to the Party kill him.

Exeunt CLERGYMAN STATE and THE BLIND JUSTICE

SIR CONVICTION
Good evening Darkblade.

DARKBLADE
Is it evening already?

SIR CONVICTION
Thats what my player tells me.

DARKBLADE
Ah damn time zones. Where was state going so fast?

SIR CONVICTION
Town decree heís supposed to head back to the Castle. Enough of State. Whatís been bothering you lately?

DARKBLADE
Being cursed to not have what makes the days short.

SIR CONVICTION
In love?

DARKBLADE
Out now...

SIR CONVICTION
Of love?

DARKBLADE
Cursed to never be with the one I love so much.

SIR CONVICTION
Bah love is for the weak Darkblade, though it can be more tyrannous and rough then us.

DARKBLADE
Alas, that love, is what I deal with now, youíd think not seeing her for nearly three years would make it easier to forget it and let it go. Ah well, what happened here anyways? More fighting with the Police no doubt. Why even bother fighting with them? The Town Council will never remove them from service and they make it easier to kill the criminals as long as we stay by the jail we just grab them on their way out. Itís nothing but violence to appease Stateís ego.

SIR CONVICTION
Is it now?

DARKBLADE
Of course it is, if we just did our little grab the criminals and kill them operation instead of killing the Police no one would bother us.

SIR CONVICTION
I suppose to an extent.

DARKBLADE
Itís true more or less for every job I take. I do my job and kill people and it just makes more jobs for people like me.

SIR CONVICTION
Hrmph. You are just worked up about this supposed Ďlost loveí of yours.

DARKBLADE
Tis true I suppose, I have lost myself; I am not really here; Iím not really Darkblade, just an empty shell.

SIR CONVICTION
Tell me then, who is this love of yours?

DARKBLADE
You really want to know then?

SIR CONVICTION
That is why I asked you.

DARKBLADE
Why would it concern you Conviction?

SIR CONVICTION
You work for KNAVES and Iím your officer. Every detail about your mortal life concerns me.

DARKBLADE
Fair enough I guess. She was just the woman I was with, out West.

SIR CONVICTION
Your job must lead you to do a lot of traveling. Why did you leave then?

DARKBLADE
It is my duty to my family. I was destined since my birth to carry the sword my family took its name from. The Darkblade a sword with the demon Virus sealed inside. Part of binding me to the sword is a vow that I can never be with my true love or Virus will be unleashed to wreck havoc upon the world.

SIR CONVICTION
Thatís why you left her?

DARKBLADE
Yes it is, and why Iím Iíve been so sad as of late. Without her I keep finding myself thinking about her. Distracting me, making it harder to do my job here.

SIR CONVICTION
For your own sake Iíd suggest trying to forget about her, before this distraction begins to pose a threat to the party and State decides to deal with it.

DARKBLADE
You donít think Iím trying to? Itíd make any job easier much less one where Iíll be sent to the Scar for fracking up once too often.

SIR CONVICTION
By giving liberty your eyes; Find someone less pure. Someone who isnít your true love and wonít unleash Virus.

DARKBLADE
Not going to happen. After being with someone as perfect as her I doubt I shall ever find anyone who can compare. Itíll only make my pain of not having her anymore that much worse. State will be waiting for us at the Castle, we should be going.

SIR CONVICTION
Indeed but do take my advice to heart, it just might save you some trouble.

Exeunt

Artemis

Looks awesome, Darkblade!
wxdruid

I laughed at what you had Gwen do, that was funny.
Keledrath

Nice.  though I do want to make a point with Rike being Tybalt:  He'll be back in like 3 weeks, tops.  Vampire.
Artemis

That raises an interesting point.

Shakespearean Tragedy: Everyone Dies.

Town: No One Dies.

Which is all well and good, because we love our characters, but definately an odd contrast.
Keledrath

Art (pun intended) thou calling The Enchanter "no one"?
Artemis

Though ghostly, I'd call him fairly alive by Town standards.
Wukei

No one dies and stays dead, anyway...
Keledrath

He can't do anything but wheeze advice to Lucas and Lilith.  Not to alive.
Artemis

And cast spells and basically everything he used to be able to do... and this thread is getting way off topic.

What does everyone think about Julius Caesar?
Lykan

Artemis wrote:

It and Macbeth are my favorites.

A lot of people look at me weirdly for that, and I dunno why. >_>
Wukei

Macbeth's my favourite.  Hands down.

And yet, I'm writing a story based on Romeo and Juliet.  (Everyone else does it...)
Artemis

It's probably all the superstition associated with it, Lykan. I've yet to read it myself, although it sounds interesting.
Uberblah

Great work, DB. Can't wait for the next installment!
Darkblade

Artemis wrote:

Well the cast list is kinda mismatching from different times in Town. So this all takes place in an alternate Town sort of like Mirror Town.

Also Merchant of Venice is my favourite Shakespeare Play but Romeo and Juliet is just easier to convert to Town. I only have one character in mind for Merchant of the Town. Sneak = Shylock.
Ms Elaneous

Ah, the Merchant of Venice!  I agree, that is my favorite as well.  And, actually, I dispise Romeo and Juliet, as they are both young, whiny, emo fools.  Not to say your characters are, but, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet?  Totally. *rolls eyes at them*
Darkblade

First off apologies to Iames and Kyrain. I had to make your PCs look like horrible people for this scene to work properly. (Not to mention the continuity raping I had to do.)

Spoiler:

SCENE II. Streets Thread

Enter AERIN OSARI, KYRIAN, and NPC

AERIN OSARI
That wasnít a good call from Gwen. Treating the Police the same as KNAVES, weíre the ones supporting the Town. Not trying to turn it into some sort of fascist state.

KYRIAN
Indeed, that was a bad decision on Gwenís part. Itís a shame your husband and I canít just blast them straight into the Nine Hells. Why did you want to see me?

AERIN OSARI
There is a young woman on the Police Force. She has recently gone through some romantic troubles involving a mercenary at KNAVES. I was hoping youíd be able to help her let go of him.

KYRIAN
Iím not sure is that is a good idea but I believe I can help in that matter.

AERIN OSARI
Good Iíd hate to have her become a risk to Town security. Donít come on too War God strong like though, get to her heart. If she goes back to her old KNAVES mercenary boyfriend the Town could be in terrible danger. Do not scare her off, the sake of the Town is at stake.

[To NPC, giving a paper] Go, around the Town. To Trogís, Sneakís, Inariís, and anywhere else PCs are staying. Find those whose names are on that paper and invite them to my Iamesís home plane for a party.

Exeunt AERIN OSARI  and KYRIAN

NPC
Find the PCs whose names are on this piece of paper! Iím just a common folk in a semi-medieval world. I shouldnít be able to read and therefore unable to find these PCs. Damn PCs with their players coming from a modern reality and mistaking us for being from that reality too.

Enter SIR CONVICTION and DARKBLADE

SIR CONVICTION
We will find you someone else to distract you from your old lover. If nothing else we can go buy some of that old love potion water.

DARKBLADE
Just give up on it. Iím not going to forget her. Just let me get over this on my own.

SIR CONVICTION
And if I donít?

DARKBLADE
Virus is a demon and he still has friends who would just love to know where you are hiding.

SIR CONVICTION
You think thatíd really be able to stop me, not just make it more likely for me to rip your soul out?

DARKBLADE
No but ripping out my soul will likely be preferable to being sent to the Scar.

NPC
Ah PCs! Please tell me you have levels in classes other than Barbarian.

DARKBLADE
Indeed we do. Why does it concern you?

Servant
Well I need someone to read this piece of paper for me.

DARKBLADE
As long as it is a language I can read.
Takes the Paper

NPC
Thank you very much good sir.

DARKBLADE
Yeah, yeah whatever.

Reads

Aesa, her various children and who ever she is sleeping with these days; The Gentleman preferably not his brothers but we canít really stop them; Destro Yersul and the Nine; Hawkeye and Wukei; Deadly Raccoon; Mr. Spooch; Silas; Janan Frinich; Lucillus the Knight;
RIKE, and  Raril Xar'Cha. An interesting assortment of PCs. What interest might you have with them?

NPC
Up.

DARKBLADE
Where now? Not all these people can fly.

NPC
To my masterís planar realm.

DARKBLADE
Whose plane?

NPC
Iames and Aerin Osari. Now Iíd best go look for all these PCs and hope they are victims of deadtime. If you wish you may come as well.

Exit

SIR CONVICTION
It seems the Police Chief and her husband are planning something. Could be a good chance for revenge and we might be able to find you someone to help you forget about your problems.

DARKBLADE
I doubt youíll find anyone who can do that, well excluding the Gent or possibly Aesa and Maph and whatever other Ubers are there but erasing my memory does not count but it might be a good idea to do some looking around while there is a crowd to distract the residents.

SIR CONVICTION
I believe we will infact Iíll wager If we donít find anyone who helps remove your distraction, then I will guarantee you safe escape from KNAVES when you think it is time for you to go but if we do when you do die I take your soul.

DARKBLADE
A fair enough arrangement since you will not find anyone who will ever replace her. Lets do some intelligence work then.

Exeunt

Darkblade

No comments make Darkblade sad.... Crying or Very sad

Anyways here is scene III

Spoiler:

SCENE III. Police Station

Enter POLICE CHIEF and KRYSTA

POLICE CHIEF
KRYSTA, where is Erín?

KRYSTA
Sheís at her desk doing some paper work. Iíll go get her.
Momentary Exit Krysta

Enter ERíN

ERíN
Something wrong?

KRYSTA
Not at all. Chief wants to talk to you.

ERíN
Aerin is at that party on Iameís planar realm isnít she? Oh Chief, we need to change its name this is getting confusing.

POLICE CHIEF
The change in my function is not the matter at hand Erín.

KRYSTA
Care to tell us what is so urgent then?

POLICE CHIEF
Aerin wishes Erín to attend the part she is hosting. She has someone she wants her to meet.

KRYSTA
Erín has got work to do tonight and I am not doing paper work for a PC I have enough of my own to manage. Aerin can go try her celestial hand at match-making some night when Erín isnít buried under paper work.

POLICE CHIEF
Come on, no one actually pays attention to any of that paper work accept actually crime files and people are often lazy with those too, hell they didnít even realize we didnít have a chief for almost a week. Thatís the whole reason why I was created.

KRYSTA
Be that as it may, you are not the chief anymore Aerin is. Both you and her know as well as I do that Erín still has feelings for that mercenary at KNAVES, to try and force her into another relationship so soon really wouldnít be a good idea, even considering Townís causality about such matters. Has it occurred to either of you that maybe not every citizen of Town follows the social customs of dolphins? Some people take time to get over something like that.

POLICE CHIEF
Enough of this; I out rank you, despite your being around longer then the authorís memory of Town and Aerin is the one who wants to relive Erín of her work to attend this party.

KRYSTA
When it comes to Erínís job here then Aerin may have her way. Erín is free to leave but she cannot make her attend the party if she doesnít want to. Itís up to you Erín.

ERíN
Um, I donít know.

KRYSTA
It is up to you, no matter what that bucket of bolts over there says.

POLICE CHIEF
Erín it is very important you come to this party. I hear the man Aerin wants you to meet is a God.

ERíN
That isnít that special. There are way too many Gods, Goddesses, and other God-like stuff in this Town. Half the non-God population has slept with a God of some sort at least once.

KRYSTA
Well its true, for the most part.

POLICE CHIEF
Indeed and as it is, youíre behind in your curtain drawing quota, clearly lacking in treasure type O.

KRYSTA
Big words from an abiotic NPC, who isnít even capable of getting any.

POLICE CHIEF
This isnít about me it is about Officer Erín.

KRYSTA
No itís about Aerin worrying she might betray us for the Mercenary that abandoned her five years ago. That is not going to happen.

POLICE CHIEF
As that may be it still doesnít look good for us if word of her former relationship with Darkblade got out. If she at least seems to try and get over it publically when the commoners start hearing rumours it wonít look as bad.

KRYSTA
Yeah and when she is carrying the child of some likely already wed God that will just look so much better.

POLICE CHIEF
That is actually quite common, no one would think twice about it.

ERíN
I'll go to this party, but not for Aerin, you, or even this Police Force. Iím going for myself, to help myself get over him before my own pain drives me insane.

Enter a NPC

NPC
Chief! Aerin says if Erín isnít on Iamesís plane in the next hour you are being sent back to the Town Council as scrap metal.

POLICE CHIEF
Fear not, she is coming.

Exit NPC

ERíN, follows slowly

KRYSTA
Go, girl, do what you think is right. Not what they want you to.

Exeunt

I'm somewhat surprised that no one is commenting.
*claps*

Even they're all too lazy to say what they think, I still like it.
Amusing.
Darkblade

YAY Someone likes it.  Very Happy

~Hugs Bunny~
Keledrath

I like it.  I just didn't notice the second part.  Also, did I miss Rike getting killed, or are we not there yet?  I haven't gotten to Shakespeare in school (unless you count the crazy Spanish sub that tried to teach us about the origin of the language).
Darkblade

Nowhere near that far yet Bookboy.
Keledrath

Meh.  I thought that was fairly near the begining.  The spark of the action and all.

Also, if you're adding in semi-humorous comments, maybe have Rike come in a few scenes after his death (when he's reformed), then be reminded that he isn't supposed to.  It's something I would do Razz.
wxdruid

I find it quite entertaining to read, and look forward to the next section.
Darkblade

Alright Scene IV is up now.

Spoiler:

SCENE IV. Canopy above the Town

Enter DARKBLADE, CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW, SIR CONVICTION, with five or six NPC Soldados, JURY MEMBERS, STATESMEN, SHADOW TROOPS, DEVILS and/or N.I.N.J.A.S

DARKBLADE
Alright, basic intelligence gathering. Listen in on conversations, look for anything that might be of interest to State, donít do anything stupid. I do not want to have to go through any legal bull feathers to get anyone back out

SIR CONVICTION
Remember our secondary goal Enforcer, find someone that will get you over your old lover.

SIR CONVICTION, CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW and NPCs all laugh

Other than that, Enforcer has the right idea. We just need to wait for these guests to all get into the portal.

DARKBLADE
[Aside to SIR CONVICTION] You arenít going to get my soul that easily.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
Sit tight. Itíll take awhile for all these PCs to get into that portal. I havenít seen this many PCs all in one place outside of Trogís and not a deadtimer among them

DARKBLADE
This will be risky to say the least. If we get caught there is no way we are going to fight our own way out through that many PCs.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
You are the lover here; borrow Cupid's wings, and fly us out.

DARKBLADE
Give it a rest Czar. Conviction knows he isnít going to find anyone who would sleep with a KNAVE at the Police Chiefís party.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
You never know. Remember we have an alliance with her husbandís dark sideís Cult.

DARKBLADE
Considering that Iíd prefer not to worry about ending up murdered in my sleep anymore than working with you causes me to, Iíll think Iíll pass on them.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
Well if love is being so rough with you, be rough with love back.

SIR CONVICTION
It couldnít hurt to try could it Enforcer.

DARKBLADE
Some of us donít come from species that eat our own offspring and Iím kinda attached to my soul.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
We only eat them if they get in our way, the reptilian life cycle is much more efficient than your human one. We have no need for love or even physical attraction.

DARKBLADE
Nay, Iíd say not since both genders of your race look the exact same.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
Iíll choose to ignore that statement.

DARKBLADE
That is probably for the best.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
Yes, yes it is.

DARKBLADE
The crowd is starting to clear. Move the NINJAS into position.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
They already are.

DARKBLADE
Good.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
Just keep your fleshy troops out of plain sight.

DARKBLADE
Donít worry. I know how to do an intelligence mission.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
Iíd hope so. Your apparent qualifications as a mercenary are impeccable. It would be a shame if we had to let you go because you exaggerated in the interview.

DARKBLADE
Well it was with a drunken Crocodile and I was mildly worried it would eat me right then and there in Trogís.

CZAR PROHIBITIONíS SHADOW
True, enough

SIR CONVICTION
Devils are in position. Remember our deal Enforcer Judicial and know that I will know if you lie to me.

DARKBLADE
I understood the terms when you first wagered them Conviction. Lets just do this job and go home.

SIR CONVICTION
Of course. Move out!
