Return of the Karistan Empire (Star Wars RPG)

I'm thinking of freebasing. Rolls will be applied, but more "hit or miss" type of rolls than any real character building. Sometimes the character building and rules are what throw a lot of people off.

So basically we're using Star Wars races in a Town sort of roleplaying style. (Old Town, not new Rule Town)
This one? You'll not need to know a damned thing about the SW Universe, because I'll be changing it ALL.

It's set about 4,000 years before Ep 1. Jedi are actually only about 1,000 years old at this point (that's fairly new, honestly.) The worlds have been separate but free to trade with one another. A war has begun to bring all under the rule of one person, who has yet to be seen by any of those outside of the most inner circle of the invading army. Several worlds have either fallen or joined willingly (one being the home world of the Hutt, Nal Hutta.) Many of the Hutt Empire worlds are under the direct rule of this new unknown leader. The worlds near Hutt space have been invaded. Now a group rebelling against this empire has decided to send representitives from their world to a meeting to discuss possible strategies of attack, and what they can offer each other.

Your group starts out by travelling on a ship to the meeting as a representative of your world.

and other things:

Classes include:
Fringer - Jack of All Trades
Noble - Master of negotiation
Scoundrel - Rogue
Scout - Ranger
Soldier - Knight
Tech Specialist - (self explanatory)
Force Adept - also known as a gray jedi, they are not specifically jedi, but have similar powers (they may use SOME dark powers)
Jedi Consular - mind powered jedi
Jedi Guardian - a jedi that combines both mind and physical attacks, but mostly physical
Sophistemon

You have my interest. What kind of a game are we talking about? Will I need to buy and/or download some books?

Sounds good to me. I'll keep an eye on the thread for further development.
Artemis

I'll admit I'm not the most well-versed in the star wars universe, but this does sound like fun. With a few more details, I'd be happy to join.
Wukei

Okie dokie, I've got 4 interested (and even if Artie is not interested in the end, I can run a small game)

Jacklu

This looks interesting.  I haven't had much luck with PBP games before, but I think I will give this one a try.  Count me in for now.  A note though, I am terrible with rules and systems, so...  yeah...  If there is dice involved, there is a chance I will need lots of help.  =/
TwoBitWriter

I would like to give this a shot as well.

I typically enjoy playing Nobles and Scoundrels. But am more than willing to do whatever is leftover.

I don't like playing Jedi... Smile
Wukei

Like I said, Jacklu, the dice are more going to be "flip of a coin" in this game.  No true system.  I don't like getting bogged down by rules.  I like enjoying the story and the roleplaying, not the work and math.  (Might be because I'm discalculate.)

Wow, 2bw, that's the first time I think I've heard that...someone that plays SW that doesn't like playing Jedi...

Oh, FYI, you will have 2 characters of my own as companions.  You'll meet them the first post of the game.
TwoBitWriter

Yeah, Jedi are no fun to play. At least for me.

So I will do Human Scoundrel.
Wukei

I would like a BG story.  It doesn't have to be long, but I would like to get to know people's characters a bit.  And I mean, if you're going to be making posts you gotta write anyway, right?
TwoBitWriter

Will work on that.

I assume no need for character sheets?
Wukei

Nope.  I mean, picking traits, etc, yeah (not everybody's gonna be all powerful, after all).  Just pick things up to tenth level.  I'll let you know if you need to add or subtract any once I know how many players there actually will be.
Artemis

Uhh... tenth level? Under what system? I thought this was going to be more freeform. I can understand outlining what a character can and can't do, but will this require a lot of stats?
Wukei

No.  Mostly I just want powers selected. (Feats when they're chosen instead of automatically given by level.)  Y'know?  Just choose your bonus feats.

If you don't want to (or don't have a book) and want to go by my judgement (or suggestions.  I can offer what feat might be handy, etc.): that's fine too.
TwoBitWriter

Trained skills as well, I imagine?
Artemis

All I know about star wars is that I've seen the movies, and all my rpg knowledge is based in 3.5 dnd. I'm definately going to need some help, please.

I'm thinking of playing a noble, I haven't decided on a race yet. If you could suggest something, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Wukei

Well, I favour a few...Falleen, Kushiban, Human, Wookie, and if you like the falleen race but want something more human looking, you can try the Zeltron.

To me, both Falleen and Zeltron races could be perfect for a noble class.
Destro Yersul

I'll play. I don't have the books, but I might be able to find them. I'd like a droid. Either combat based or tech specialist.
TwoBitWriter

Basics on Jack Jerrod, Human Scoundrel:

Talents:
1) Sneak Attack - Add 1d6 damage when opponent denied dex bonus to reflex defense of caught flat-footed.
2) Hyperdriven - When aboard a starship, 1/day add scoundrel level bonus to any single roll.
3) Spacehound - no penalty to attack rolls in zero-g. ignore space sickness, and proficient with starship weapons.
4) Fool's Luck - Standard action, use force point to gain one of the following for the rest of the encounter: +1 to attack rolls, +5 to skill checks, or +1 bonus to all defenses
5) Fortune's Favor - Whenever you score a critical hit, gain a free standard action.

Bonus Feats:
1) Skill Focus (Pilot) - Gain +5 bonus to pilot skill
2) Vehicular Combat - Negate one attack per round on vehicle you are piloting.
3) Precise Shot - no -5 penalty for shooting into melee.
4) Quick Draw - Draw weapon as a swift action
5) Point Blank Shot - +1 Bonus to attacks within 6 squares.

Trained Skills:
1) Pilot
2) Deception
3) Perception
4) Mechanics
5) Acrobatics
6) Knowledge (Galactic Lore)

Back story will follow soon, but will involve coming from a fringe world I think. Jack probalyl hates the Hutts.

Wukei... is this about what you wanted?
Wukei

Pretty much.

And who doesn't hate the hutts?

(Art, as soon as you peg down what you want to be, I'll go over the book and find some skills, feats, and talents that you might like to consider.  Like I said, I just want to nail down what people have as their abilities just for my benefit.)
Jacklu

Ok, I am going to be a bit of a pain, sorry.  Classes confuse me, so I really don't know how to categorize this.  Sorry.  I'd like to use a Kushiban (was leaning in that direction before you suggested it, so I'm glad it will be acceptable) that falls under the category of fringer/scoundrel/force adept/tech specialist.  I'm not looking for a super powered character, and in my mind the character's BG and general premise makes this fit.  As I said, classes confuse me a little (one of the reasons I stick to FF), so I'm not really sure if what I would like to do would even fit into any of the classes you listed.  =/  is there any way I can describe what I want my character to be and build something around that instead of fitting it into a class and changing the character to match?  Pweese?
Artemis

Decided on a Zeltron, and Twobit's been kind enough to send me a copy of his book, so I'll be able to pick feats and stuff on my own. Thanks for the race suggestions, I'd have been pouring through wookiepedia for hours, otherwise.
Wukei

No problem, Jacklu.  If you send me the BG story of your character, I may be able to help you pick the class that fits best.  (Though a fringer fits for about the use of anything.)
TwoBitWriter

I likely won't have the BG tonight. I am going to bed soon.
Hopefully the mini-crunch will be enough to keep me in the running for a bit longer.
Jacklu

Okay.  Thanks.  I'll PM you the backstory (or post it here?) as soon as I write it up.
Wukei

PM it.  I don't necessarily want all of the players to know each other's backstories yet (not bashing anyone, but sometimes people godmod without meaning to when they know some specifics when a character is lying or something. [I have to keep myself from doing it all the time.])
Jacklu

Okay.  I should have something by tomorrow...  er...  *looks at clock*  later today I guess.
Destro Yersul

I've got a copy of the book as well now. I'll be doing a droid, like I said. Tech Specialist. A T3 unit.

Hopefully someone can speak to those.

Anyways, I'll have something up for you later... today, I suppose. In roughly 14 hours. Sleep, then work, will keep me from doing anything until then.
Lykan

Character backstory made and sent.

Ko Giesa shall kick ass. >=D
Wukei

Don't worry, Destro.  The accompanying NPC character can understand binary, even if he can't speak it.

And though he looks human(ish) he can actual speak (not just understand) Wook.  He has the vocal cords to do it, while humans don't.
Lykan

Stats, a la Twobit's system:

Ko Giesa, Anx Force Adept

Talents:
+ Force Training: Gain Alter, Control, and Sense as bonus feats.
+ Force Weapon: Can imbue a non-powered weapon with the Force as a Full-Round Action, which allows the weapon to deal +1d8 damage. Light Sabers do not ignore the DR of the imbued weapon.
+ Comprehend Speech: Can understand (not speak) any spoken language.
+ Force Talisman: Gains +2 to saves against Force abilities due to imbued talisman.

Bonus Feats:
+ Endurance: +4 on checks to stave of weariness while swimming, Constitution checks to keep running, Constitution checks to hold breath, Constitution checks to avoid damage from starvation or thirst, Fortitude checks to avoid damage from hot or cold environments, and Fortitude checks to resists damage from oxygen deprivation.
+ Run: When running, can move Speed x5 rather than Speed x4.
+ Skill Emphasis: Empathy: Gain +3 bonus on all Empathy checks.
+ Track: Can follow creatures across all sorts of terrain.

Feats:
+ Martial Arts: Deal 1d6 damage with an Unarmed Strike, threaten Crit on roll of 20 (18-20 for Anx)
+ Improved Martial Arts: Deal 2d6 damage with an Unarmed Strike, threaten Crit on 19-20 (18-20 for Anx)
+ Improved Critical (Unarmed Strike): Increases critical threat range of Unarmed Strike to 17-20.
+ Beast Language: Activating this ability allows communication with a single herd animal, predator, scavenger, or vermin for one hour. During this time, Ko may use Handle Animal checks in place of Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Gather Info, and Sense Motive skills with the affected creature, in addition to allowing use of the Affect Mind and Friendship force skills against the creature. You can only communicate with a creature that has a form of communication.

Trained Skills:
+ Battlemind
+ Friendship
+ Handle Animal
+ Heal Another
+ Knowledge (World Lore)
+ Survival
TwoBitWriter

I'm working on my backstory, I swear!

And at level 10, I think we should have five bonus feats and five talents.
Wukei

No problem.  If I get everyone's this week we'll start.  If not, we'll probably start next Monday.
TwoBitWriter

I'm hoping to have it to you tomorrow.
Destro Yersul

Hmm. It seems this book doesn't have a Tech Specialist class in it, unless I'm blind. Admittedly the class doesn't offer much apart from talents for the purposes of this game...

Think you could suggest some? I want to be good at breaking computer systems, with a bit of mechanical ability thrown in.
Wukei

The first book does...cuz I had been thinking of a Tech Specialist NPC.  Should be on page 52 if you're looking at the same book as everyone else. (Revised 1st Ed.)
Destro Yersul

I'm looking at the one Twobit sent me. SAGA edition. Don't have any other books...
Wukei

Ah...well the only one with huge computer skills is the Tech Specialist...I'm surprised it doesn't have it...
Destro Yersul

Yeah, surprised me too. I can pick the feats and such from here, but I will need talent help.
Wukei

Well, the talents are sorta auto...up to tenth level they are:

(starting feat is:) Simple Weapons Proficiency
Skill Emphasis (pick Computer Use, a Craft, Treat Injury, or Repair)

Research -- add tech specialist level to any Knowledge check when searching for technical info.

Instant Mastery -- Gain 4 ranks in any skill (including cross class) that you have no points in.
2 Tech Specialties (4th & 8th level) -- choose 1 each time or choose 1 up to 3 times max to stack specialty in it:

Computer Specialist: +1 on Computer Use (up to +3 when taken other times)

Master Crafter: apply this to a special Craft skill.  Allows you to mastercraft items with +1 to the item (or +2, +3 depending how many times you take this skill)--
Weapons -- Craft (specific weapons group)
Armor -- Craft (armor)
Datapad -- Craft (electronic devices)
Medpac -- Craft (medpacs)
Security Kit -- Craft (electronic devices)
Sensor Pack -- Craft (electronic devices)

Mechanic: +1 to Repair checks

Medical Specialist: +1 to Treat Injury

Surgical Specialist: Improve the number of wounds you can heal using the Treat Injury skill and the Surgery feat by 1.

Expert -- (Pick 2, and you can't choose the same 1 to improve [you must pick a specific area of expertise, ie Craft (simple weapon)]) improve skill checks by +2
Craft
Knowledge
Profession
Jacklu

I think this is right.  Let me know if I have messed up somehow.

Taldi, female Kushiban Fringer

Feats:
Weapon Group Proficiency (Simple & Primitive Weapons)
Athletic
Force Sensitive (you may learn force skills as class skills)
Gearhead (you have a way with mechanics/+2 on Repair and Use Computer)
Nimble (+2 on Escape Artist and Sleight of Hand)
Quickness (good at turning attacks into near misses and glancing blows.  +3 VP [HP])
Weapon Focus (blasters +1 to attack)
Zero G Training (you can function normally in light to 0 gravity.  No penalties when fighting.)

Trained Class Skills:
Hide
Climb
Search
Listen
Spot
Jump
Knowledge
Craft

Talents:
Jury-Rig: +6 on Jury rigging repairs
Survival: +4 on Survival checks
Barter: +5 on Diplomacy in buying or selling equipment

Credits:
2000
Destro Yersul

Ok, just to go through that list...

starting feat is: Simple Weapons Proficiency
Skill Emphasis: Computer Use

Research -- add tech specialist level to any Knowledge check when searching for technical info.

Instant Mastery: Dunno. Stealth, maybe?

2 Tech Specialties (4th & 8th level) -- choose 1 each time or choose 1 up to 3 times max to stack specialty in it:

Computer Specialist:
+1 on Computer Use
Mechanic: +1 to Repair checks

Expert -- improve skill checks by +2
Craft (simple weapon)
Knowledge (Computers)

What else do I get?
Wukei

I'm pretty sure you got it. (besides picking skills and your feats...need help with those, too?)  Average money for your level and class is: 30,000

(and for the fringer [Jacklu], I missed a 0.  I'm bad at math, sorry.  Though she may not have as much as average because of her BG.)
Destro Yersul

Nah, I can get skills and feats. Probably just spend all the money on Droid upgrades and a decent blaster.

Gimme a moment...

Oh, I do need to know how many points I get per level. Just going to pick that many plus my Int modifier and say 'these are maxed out', then pick up that stealth one for instant mastery.
Moon_Called

I am officially expressing interest.
*gleam-pose*

Destro sent me his copy of TwoBi's rule book, which.... I don't have right now.
I'm at school.
Shoulda put it on my USB drive.
*grumbles*
I'll work on it when I get home.

'Nyway, Art (and I think Destro?) and I are thinking of combing backstories. I was thinking of playing Art's body guard of a sort. Perhaps a Sith? Haven't decided on a race yet.
Wukei

Oh, no Siths, sorry.  Lowest you can go is the neutral Gray Jedi (known as a Force Adept, I believe).

As long as I don't have more people asking to be Tech Specialists.  I have 3 people interested in being tech specialists, and unless one's a computer nerd, one's a healer, and one's a repair tech...I don't think I need that many. (Though I think one of 'em's planning something else instead...)
Moon_Called

Eh, I guess that would work.
Dunno anything about the Grey Jedi, though.
Care to explain?
Or at the very least, link?
Or you know. I can stop being lazy and find out for myself.
But what fun is that? ^^
Wukei

as I said, they're called Force Adepts in the book.  They're pretty awesome.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_adept
TwoBitWriter

I'm willing to combine backstory with anyone else.

Backstory sent, I hope you got it Wukei.
Moon_Called

Oh, hey, that does sound nifty.
Taking a look through the orginizations, the Ember of Vahl guys look interesting. Although since you already said no Sith and the Vahl guys are essentially pseudo-Sith, then what about the more neutral Matukai?

Still need a race, though.
Wukei

Glad that you decided on an actual sect and way of looking at the force.  It's almost necessary, just to understand how they view the Force.

I was just talking about the Ubese with a friend...they're really awesome, and you can have a lot of fun working with that race.  Just a suggestion, though.  I think it would work well with a Force Adept.
Destro Yersul

Right then. Assuming I get 5 feats, and I'll just go ahead and pick 7 skills. That's a decent estimate, IMO, given that one of them will be from that talent. Let me know if I should have more.

starting feat is: Simple Weapons Proficiency
Skill Emphasis: Computer Use

Research -- add tech specialist level to any Knowledge check when searching for technical info.

Instant Mastery: Dunno. Stealth, maybe?

2 Tech Specialties (4th & 8th level) -- choose 1 each time or choose 1 up to 3 times max to stack specialty in it:

Computer Specialist:
+1 on Computer Use
Mechanic: +1 to Repair checks

Expert
-- improve skill checks by +2
Craft (simple weapon)
Knowledge (Computers)

FEATS
Point Blank Shot +1 for point blank shooting
Precise Shot no penalty for firing into melee
Skill Focus (Computer use) +5 to using computers
Deadeye Extra damage for aiming
Dodge +1 to reflex defense against selected target

SKILLS
Computer use
Repair
Craft (simple weapon)
Knowledge (computers)
Perception
Knowledge (droids)
Stealth (only 4 ranks)

Is that what you need?
Wukei

Yeah...

Now, the only Tech Specialist I will allow (other than the 2 I've already collected) is a Med Tech.
Destro Yersul

Assuming I'm the computer geek, then. Anyways, I'ma set to work on backstory. Got to talk to Art...
Artemis

Analla Keltar, Zeltron Noble

Talents:
1. Connections- easier to get restricted equipment
2. Educated- Make any knowledge check untrained
3. Wealth- with each new level, earns 5,000
credits x noble level
4. Born Leader- once per encounter, as a swift action, give allies within line of sight a +1 insight bonus on attacks
5. Distant Command- ‘Born leader’ continues to work, even if allies move out of line of sight

Starting Feats:
Linguist
Weapon Proficiency (pistols)
Weapon Proficiency (simple weapons)

Bonus Feats:
1. Skill Focus (persuasion)
2. Skill Focus (deception)
3. Melee Defense
4. Armor Proficiency (light)
5. Weapon Proficiency (advanced melee weapons)

Trained Skills:
1. Deception
2. Gather Information
3. Perception
4. Persuasion
5. Pilot
6. Treat Injury
7. Use Computer

I'm assuming at least 13 intelligence to take advantage of the linguist starting feat, so yay bonus skills! And what are we doing with money? Do you want us to buy equipment, because with that one Talent, I think she'll have a heck of a lot of credits. If you like I can trade it out for something different, otherwise, I'm going on a shopping spree. And do you want ability scores? As I said, I've already assumed at least 13 intelligence. I'll type up the backstory tomorrow night. Thanks.
Wukei

Nah, though you may be carrying some credits on you, it's not necessary to really consider it for now (though you may need to buy some things in game.)  Your weapons are whatever your character has with them when they got on the ship, and you don't need to use any creds to buy 'em.
TwoBitWriter

That one talent is a big reason why I love playing a noble so much.

"Well guys, I've leveled up, time to buy another slave..."  Razz

And I imagine Jack would carry the following:

1) Blaster Carbine w/ retractable stock (usually keeps it extended)
2) 4 Frag Grenades
3) Vibrodagger (More used as a tool than a weapon)
4) Short-Range Comlink
5) Flight Suit
6) All-Temperature cloak
7) Ration Pack
Cool Binder Cuffs
9) 4 Power Packs
10) Tool Kit

I think that's all okay for a 10th level scoundrel.
Moon_Called

Hmmm.
I was  thinking perhaps a Gungan. I've got a backstory to explain just how a Gungan came to be a wandering Matukai mercenary, if you want to hear it.
Just thought I'd check with you, since Gungans tend to be... less than popular. >>

Oh, and while I'm at it, I don't think the book I got from Destro has the rules for Force Adepts in it. Should I just treat them as Jedi without the morals?
Wukei

Actually, Force Adept are quite different from Jedi.  You can still take Jedi Feats, I'll just give you the talents later.

And yeah, I'm allowing gungans.  I already had one person that was interested in them that I okay'd.  But if it acts like Jar Jar, prepare for it to get killed early on.  (Most gungans don't act like Jar Jar, so I don't have a thing against them.  Hell, even the gungans didn't like Jar Jar.)
Moon_Called

Ah. Alrighty, thanks.
Wukei

so...how's the bg going with you three working together?  Assuming I get them in soon, we'll start (and you can cover the necessary stats later, as you won't be fighting immediately.)
Wukei

Yeah...I posted a few minutes ago, but I wanted to make sure no one missed this post because of an edit:

I've already got 9 people who have shown interest.  As I'm used to GMing for a max of 6, I'm gonna close down recruitment before I get any more joining in.  I think 9 is more than enough, and it will make me rethink some of my bad guys, anyway.  Gotta pump 'em up.
Destro Yersul

I've got my BG, such as it is. It's not very spectacular. Will send it when I get a chance.
Wukei

I need some sign of life from:

Sophistemon
Hawkeye
Monkey Muse
and Moon Called (yeah, I realized you joined a bit late.  Just making sure)

I don't mind if you've decided that you don't want to play anymore.  But I would like a sign that you at least have a character name or are at least still planning.
Moon_Called

I'm awake!
I'm still working on the techincal stuff, but it you want my back ground, I can send it to you.
In fact, once I help Inny out a little, I'll get right on that.
Wukei

Like I said, I'm not too worried about the technical stuff immediately.  As soon as I get all backgrounds (via PM, so that others don't use the bgs knowingly when their character shouldn't know [not necessarily godmodding, just thinking your character was told something when they weren't]) I'll post the first post.  Which is ready, btw....
Hawkeye

Areta Mantisa

Miraluka Female Jedi Guardian

Feats

Force Sensitive (from race and class)
Ambidextrous
Two weapon fighting
Improved two weapon fighting
Lightsaber defence
Burst of Speed
Weapon finesse
Acrobatic

Class Features

Force Training
Deflect (attack, defence and extended)
Block
Increased lightsaber damage

Trained Skills

Balance
Climb
Jump
Tumble
Illusion
Battlemind
Affect mind
Enhance ability

Monkey Muse

I'm here! And I have my technical stuff. Backround will be sent soon.

Cad Zhug

Duros Tech Specialist

Starting feat: Simple weapon Proficiency
Skill Emphasis: Treat Injury

Research -- add tech specialist level to any Knowledge check when searching for technical info.

Instant Mastery -- Endurance

2 Tech Specialties (4th & 8th level):
Medical Specialist: +1 to Treat Injury
Surgical Specialist: Improve the number of wounds you can heal using the Treat Injury skill and the Surgery feat by 1.

Expert -- (Pick 2, and you can't choose the same 1 to improve [you must pick a specific area of expertise, ie Craft (simple weapon)]) improve skill checks by +2:
Knowledge: Medicine
Craft: Medpac

Feats:
Point Blank Shot +1 for point blank shooting
Precise Shot no penalty for firing into melee
Weapon Proficiency: Rifle Ignore penalty with blaster rifles
Surgical Expertise Preform surgery in ten minutes instead of a hour.

Skills:

Endurance (only four ranks)

((This right? EDIT: Forgot one skill.))
TwoBitWriter

Jack Jerrod leans his back against the wall of the transport.

"Damn, what's taking the rest of these people so long? My player works a 9 to 5 and lives with a non-gamer wife, and he got his stats and backstory done on Monday!"

Razz
Wukei

Okay, Soph cut out (totally cool by me, 8 is a lot of people, anyway.)  So we're just waiting on Moon Called.

No pressure, there. ^.~
Moon_Called

Almost done...

Edit: There.
Wukei

http://enupnion.myfastforum.org/sutra634746.php#634746

Voila!

Like I said, all I needed was a small backstory to get a feel for the characters.
Wukei

Apparently my first post wasn't clear enough: the part where it says "the lack of power means you'll start waking up soon" means that yes, you may post.  I already confused a couple of people with that.
Artemis

Question: Are we all in the same room or seperate cabins?
Wukei

It's the same room...pretty sure I said that in the first post.... *goes to check* well, I didn't particularly say it...but it says a bed is empty, implying that one would be able to note it.  So, yeah...you're all in the same room. (Except for Taldi, but she's there now.)
Wukei

I don't know why, but Tak gives me the feel of Ducky from NCIS

If you need to be educated in the way of Ducky, the best I can do is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh77YK2Qptw

But he's got that older gentleman quality to him.

Honestly, he acts older than the guy he calls master.

Jacklu, your character has travelled a lot, I take it?

Shoot me an IM. I would like at least one person to know some of who Jack Jerrod is.
Wukei

I'd like to remind people that most (if not all) OOC comments should be kept here.  While I don't mind the ocassional OOC comment in the IC thread, those that are completely OOC should be posted here.

Just to keep everyone in the know. (I had Soph remove the offending post.)
Artemis

So... I haven't seen it expressly stated, but have we landed yet?
Wukei

I'm pretty sure we have, though it wasn't stated.
Moon_Called

Hey, could you guys slow down a bit?
I can't keep up.
I've been reading this thread all day. And I just caught up.
I have like, 40 minutes to post.
I'm feeling a little left behind here.
Wukei

I figured it would slow down once the group actually went out onto Karista.

Sorry it's been running so quickly til.
TwoBitWriter

My posting will slow down greatly after tonight. So no worries, MC.

And Jack is waiting for a couple more volunteers before he steps outside.
Wukei

Sorry if this gets ahead of the rest of you guys, I'm trying to plan a little something for every character, a GM created feat (or one that I find on the net that calls to me), it just happens that we had to do Hawkeye's first.
Wukei

All right, writing up the next post for the palace scene, I realized something:

I need to know what languages your characters would know.
TwoBitWriter

Jack knows:

Basic
Huttese
Binary

I think they are appropriate, given his background as a spacer... um... adventurer.  Smile
Destro Yersul

T3 probably understands most languages, but he can, of course, only speak Binary. Go with Basic, Binary, Zeltron for now.
Wukei

Okie dokie, now that we have the Jedi's little test done, we're just waiting on anyone else following Jack...unless no one else was following Jack, in which case I'll take a peek and then post.
Hawkeye

Fluent in Miralukese and basic.

Passable in the other main (alliance only though) languages.
TwoBitWriter

I think Taldi is there with Jack, maybe not right next to him, but trying to listen tot he same conversation.
Wukei

The only one that went with him besides her is MM's character.
Destro Yersul

I don't know what Art's character is doing, and T3 is with her.
Wukei

She was sticking around her bodyguard.
Wukei

*giggles evilly*

2BW seems to be the only one who knows Huttese.
Artemis

ooh... languages. I hadn't given a lot of thought to languages (due to lack of knowledge, mostly) Analla probably knows quite a few. I decided on Basic and Binary at least, plus one trade language I can't remember off the top of my head. Working in Hutt space it would make sense for her to know Huttese, but she doesn't have to if you think it's too meta-gamey.
Wukei

Nah, it's okay.  You can know it.  It'd be wise for her to know it, since her family trades with 'em. (At least some of 'em.)
Moon_Called

Sorry I haven't been posting lately.
I've got this really bad cold, so I can't think of anything to post.
Hopefully I'll be back when it clears up.
Wukei

I'm sorry about the disappearance guys.

There's the explanation.
TwoBitWriter

Well, I'm glad to see you back.
