Nevrmore's Art Gallery

Well, I figured since I've already completely mastered all other forms of artistry (CDs coming out May 25, y'all! Not really.) I should break into this whole avatar business. Tell me what you think.

Crucius:

Floyd:

Lues:

Hawk (Can't draw that stupid peak cap at all...)

Adder:

Plot:

So what do you think? Comments/criticisms welcome.
Renom

Pretty good for a start, and I like the facial expressions. You can improve by making the heads more ovalish, then you will hardly need to work on the bodies at all. One of the advantages of being in town is that the arms can remain sticks.
Admiral_Kelly

I think this is (yet another) April's Fool joke.

What the f*** is that supposed to mean?

Watch the language, Nevrmore. Thank you.
Renom

That is AK being mean.
Terumitsu

I really like how you did Plot. Best picture that I have seen to date.
Rebonack

I haven't seen MS Paint skills comparable to yours in quite a while.

Uh, that's GIMP.
Darkblade

I like the Crucius one.
Nevrmore

Thanks
Kyrian

Crucius and Plot are my favorites.
Lykan

Quite honestly, they're not all that great, but with the detail put it there's definitely some potential. Have you tried Inkscape? It's a lot easier to use, and you get much better results.

My first avatars I tried to make on MS Paint looked like these...
Renom

If you are just going to throw together some stuff on gimp in a short amount on time they will not be optimal quality. I've been working on this one pic in gimp for about two weeks.
Nevrmore

Now taking requests! Very Happy
Xaspian

Can you do a picture of your Statue character from GitP Town, with The Pigeon sitting on his shoulder? (I'm not completely sure about the name. Was it Zurvan, or something similar?)

Done!

Zurvan and The Pigeon:

Xaspian

Nice. I think you've captured the still-ness of the statue pretty well.
Nevrmore

Hey, thanks!

Here's a request from Rebonack:

The Probe
Keledrath

Just because I'd like to see him in paint, why not have a go at Shadowbow?  Take your pick of which one, I've got Ceikatars for all three.
Rebonack

I must admit that's the best picture of the Probe that anyone has ever made.

Thanks!
Keledrath

I agree with Rebo.  Sometimes, it takes the simplicity of paint to really capture an image.  Or you just have to be really damn good.  Like my friends, who enjoy making stadiums and portraits of their friends during study hall, then making them the background.

I do believe, Nevr, that you have truely mastered Paint.
Nevrmore

Shadowbow: (I think, at least.)

Wukei

Most of your avatars look like they've just had the piss scared out of 'em...my problem is I can't give any advice on how to fix this on the computer.
Keledrath

Pretty good.  I will admit there is a limit to what you can do with paint (Still really damn good).
Woland

I'd like to make a request for the design of my character.  I think your style could capture my him best, it's simple yet deep.

Anyway, here's a brief description.

First off, he's got an auburn dreadhawk, and he wears an eyepatch with slight frilling and the sign for infinity on it.  His nose is crooked (to the right) and he has a scar on his right cheek.  He stands at 5'9, and is slightly jaundiced.  He is missing one of his incisors, and his earlobes are long for someone his age.    He tends to simper in the presence of others, so if you're drawing a group shot keep that in mind.  Aside from that, he tends to wear course fabric but he likes blue, so maybe a faded jean jacket with like three buttons would do for his top.  He tends to wear sandals, but since I want an arctic background he should be wearing furry boots, possibly from a spotted deer (he's a very good hunter!)

Anyway, I'll leave the rest up to your discretion, but please DO IT RIGHT!  This is very important to me and I want you to really capture him.  I think you can do it though, your style is very elegant.

Thanks a lot, I look forward to seeing my character come to life!

(Warning!  This is not a serious post!  Anyone attempting to take this post seriously will be subject to severe mocking.  You have been warned!)
Nevrmore

Done!

Woland

Wow!

I can't believe how well you captured his sexual appeal!
ValdisRequiem

Hehe. I like these, Nevr.
They have a certain charm and attitude I very much attribute to you.
A new thread to keep watching <3

I knew the high cheekbones would do it.
Admiral_Kelly

I have to agree with Wukei. Work on facial expressions.
Obsidian Blade

I actually quite like the facial expressions - especially Floyd's, though Crucius is the best all around avatar of yours.
