Interesting things about you.

Wells, I thought this thread would go well, because I've never met a more 'interesting' bunch.

Pretty much, anything out of the ordinary about you, be it a skill, a scar, a personality trait, anything.

For now, I'll just say that my right elbow always cracks. No matter what I do.
Baeleck

Baeleck's interesting fact #1: I am very interested in fungi and mycology. Don't ask me why, I got into it when I was about eight and it escalated till I'm pretty much an expert at identifying the different types. I'll even take particular specimens from the wild and cook them up for dinner.

*licks lips*

My left elbow always cracks. No joke.
What a coinkeydink.

Anywho, I have an obsession with squirrels (like the Sith Squirrel with his lightsaber), and have made an entire language out of one word.
Shadow of the Sun

Vael! We ARE the brother chaotic! It is a sign!

Ummmmm...there's that time I spoke in nothing but rhyme for a day and tapdanced instead of walking...
wxdruid

In my opinion I'm rather normal, in my siblings opinions-I'm the weird one and the one least attached to reality. (as shown by my addiction to Town and D&D)

But about me?

I have a BA in Earth Sciences, Emphasis in Meteorology
I love to grow herbs
I love the weather
I've been married and it took 2 yrs to get divorced
I have a cute daughter-Kendra (catlover)
and of course we have a cat named Jessie
Shadow of the Sun

Ah yes...my tenuous grip on reality.

Does permanently having a selection of about 100 songs stuck in my head count?
wxdruid

Well, I'd rather spend time here, than doing almost anything else.
Gnrlshrimp

Interesting things about me...Well, in my house it's basically a crime to have less than three cats. The human to animal ratio in my house is currently 1:4, but it was once as high as 1:10.

And continuing the cracking theme, my left knee cracks all the time.
Timberwolf

If I bend the wrong way, my spine ripple cracks, as does my neck, my right knee, my jaw, both elbows and my right big toe. Played a lot of sport when I was developing

I play badminton and I like steak
NecroPaladin

I have a huge scar on the top of my head (luckily hair covers it) due to telling a juvenile delinquent not to steal a boat when I was 10. He was holding an oar. Things got ugly, and I got things. Notably, a concussion and a skull fracture.
Sophistemon

Hmm. Interesting things? About me?

This will take some thought. Let me get back to you.
McBish

I have on occasion run into inanimate objects on my bike. Like a van, and a mailbox, both owened by the same people, at the bottom of a large hill, where I have gotten up to speeds of 25 mph.
Darkblade

I got a scar on my left thumb from sticking it in the turning mechanism in a bar stool, then turning it nearly slicing my thumb off when I was 3. My jaw cracks about half the time I open it. I got 4 cats, 14 chickens and a dog. That intersting enough.
El Jaspero

-Aside from routine cleanings and surgical removal of my wisdom teeth, I've never had any dental work. No fillings, no braces.
-I really, actually can play the banjo, among other stringed instruments. I also write tunes, primarily jigs and waltzes.
-If you own a copy of Arcana Evolved my name is listed in the AE playtesters.
The Chilli God

I can crack most joints in my body. Fingers, wrists, toes, ankles, spine, neck, jaw (especially when I yawn), and knees.

I can screech. And it isn't your little-girl-being-scared screech, but it's the sort of thing that scares away dogs and can probably deafen people (thankfully, I haven't tried yet).

I am descended from a line of accountants, and they all happen to be uncles.

I haven't missed a single day of school in about 2 or 3 years. And I get sick just like the rest of you. I am also a teacher's pet (you know that's true when the teacher gives you gifts... And it's not even your birthday or anything!)

I make comics. Sprite comics (like 8-bit Theatre), based off of Bionicle. Currently 390-something episodes, 5 of which are flash movies.

That mark on Dinony's left eye (my namesake - check my artwork for a look)? Yeah, I have that in real life, but on my right eye. I rub my eyes too much.

I am often compared to Rowan Atkinson. And I have no clue why.

And, I think this one tops the lot - Roughly two years ago, during Summer, I woke up because a mosquito was flying too close to me, so I killed it by whacking it against my ear. The mosquito sure did die, but every night then on for about three weeks, I could hear the sound of a mosquito flying in my ear. And there was nothing I could do to get rid of it. I tried picking my ear, blocking it, washing it, burying myself under the pillows, using insect repellant (Do you know how long that stuff lasts when it's been rubbed on the walls? A year at least!), and I could still hear the hum of a mosquito flying. It almost drove me mad. I call it now, the Curse of the Mosquito.

Is that enough?

Seriously? I'd never be able to manage the constant rhyming myself. That's actually pretty awesome.

According to state laws (but not federal) I'm prohibited from holding office in seven US states.

There is a story there that I am interested in hearing.
Castaras

I get random obsessions that last a few months.

Let's see...Pies are the current one...probably will last a while...before it was these strange blob things...Dragons...Trains...

Umm...Aspergers count?

*shrugs*

Will probably think of more when I'm not as tired.
J. Muller

Castaras wrote:

Really? Me too. I've never met a female Aspie, though. Apparently it's ten times more prevalent in males.

@Sophistemon: It sounds much more remarkable than it is. There are state laws on the books in some states in the southern US (read: Bible Belt) that prohibit athiests from holding state office. Technically, if I really wanted to, I could challenge the laws, since they're against of federal law, but a. I don't really want to run for office in those states anyway, and b. I'd have a hard time getting elected in the first place.
Wukei

lessee, oh, this will be fun...

I have: 8 dogs, 6 cats, an iguana, two dragons, 5 chinchillas, 5 ferrets, and a turkey

countless cavies (guinea pigs) including peruvian, american, coronet, and abysenians
countless mini rex (rabbits) all colors
a few Belgian Hares (rare rabbit)
several Himalayans (rabbit) all colors

Of the selection of only one or two rabbits:
an english angora (rabbit)
two satins
and a flemish giant (they used to get up to 45-50 lb, but they've been bred down to where they can only be about 30 lb max)

I draw coloring books for my students at the church
I teach children from 6 until adulthood (just basically I teach any kids in the church)

I like Broadway.
My first broadway show I went to see on stage was Starlight Express.

I like doing html/css just for fun, and offer to do friends' sites for free just for the experience.

I can read backwards (in a mirror)-upside down just as fine as if it were the normal way.
Vael

Oooo... Broadway...

I've seen Mama Mia and Spamalot on broadway. That was fun.
Sophistemon

Well, you were right. I was kind of expecting something... worse.

Still, I find stupid laws amusing, so you still get a hearty "haw, haw" from me.
Damon

I can crack my big toes on both of my feet. I'm wiki tall (6'3'' and counting).

I'm a raging egotist, including spending often an hour admiring myself in a mirror every night.

I am intending to learn to play the Bass after I sell my drum set this summer.

Heres the most interesting. I love swimming, yet I cannot put my head at deepths lower than about 4 feet under water, because when I was little I had TERRIBLE ear infections that blew out my right ear drum twice and my left ear drum once. I had to get surgery because I would wake up in the middle of the night screaming in pain and thrashing around. To put it in perspective, breaking my collar bone didn't hurt as much as it getting inflamed once.
Gnrlshrimp

Perhaps the most interesting thing about me is that I hide from the world...as soon as I get home I go straight to my room and lock the door, completely shutting myself off, emerging only for dinner. Fun...

Oh, and I'm ridiculously short, something like three inches shorter than I should be, most people think I'm three years younger than I am, which can be unbelievably embarrassing at times.
Shadow of the Sun

Eh. I'm so introverted that I have difficulty talking to people over the internet.

That, and I'm socially paranoid. I always think that the person I'm talking too secretly hates me.
Sophistemon

Oh, how about this: I want to be both a teacher and a writer.

Vael once told me that with my two planned careers I will be lucky if I do not eventually have to live in a box.

Well, look at it this way; You're beating Kojiro by a mile.

-----------------------

Interesting facts about Nevrmore...

1. I have four scars on my body; One from my brother pushing me into a metal grating, one from my friend kicking me and my throwing my arm up in defense, one fighting over a chicken nugget, and the last when a different friend somehow threw a rock he was trying to skip on the water sideways and pegged me in the skull.

2. The only real phobia I have is being lost at sea. The thought of just drifting when millions of alien lifeforms, many of them much bigger than you, swimming god knows how far away from your fragile body freaks the hell out of me. I'm not big on cruises.

3. I'm such a good liar that most people who know me personally think I'm a really bad liar because I'm so good at it I made them believe I'm bad at it for when I need to lie about something.

4. My real first name is Jordan.

5. I was allowd to take the ACTs in 7th grade for some project sponsored by Duke University. The first time I took it, I got a 21. When my brother, 4 years older than me, took it, he got a 20.

6. I fancy myself a writer. GO CHECK OUT MY FICTIONPRESS ACCOUNT. DO IT!

7. At college I plan to major in Law and minor in Psychology.

8. I am a straight person, but here is a short list of people I'd go gay for: George Carlin, Bruce Campbell, Johnny Depp (depending on what his last movie was), and MAYBE Kevin Smith if he bought me a nice dinner first.

9. I love to make lists of 10.

I can sympathize with that. I'm afraid to stand on docks, especially over murky water. I keep thinking the planks will break underneath me and I'll go straight into the water. Plus I won't swim anywhere I can't see the bottom. My mother thinks I'm crazy, she used to be a lifeguard and my grandfather (her dad) drove pilings for docks and bridges and such.

I'll probably think of more interesting things later.

Actually, if you want to be an english teacher, you'd be in the perfect career. You can learn much in college by "majoring" in both. Even though there's no majoring for a writer.

I wanted to do that, originally. Then I got into wanting to do musical theatre...then, my back problems started and I've sorta been whining since then.
Sophistemon

I actually do want to teach English.
Orange Zergling

I have a scar on my tongue from when I bit through it when I was 5.

I frequently invision 80% of the BNet population being strung up and shot and enjoy the thought. I'm not usually like that, they just tick me off so very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very etc. much.

I like to think of myself as a good writer/artist, although I know I'm not. I do hope to be a professional author/artist later in life though.

I get confused very easily.

All of my friends think I'm gay, although I'm straight in reality.
J. Muller

I'd like to be a writer.

I should probably do more writing, though.
DeBunny

I have a scar in the center of my top lip where my cat decided she wanted to get one of her claws stuck. >.< It was a very..unpleasant experience for us both.

I'm abnormally obsessed with dragons and know far too much about them. In my opinion anyway.

I random 'toggle' between accents, sometimes without realizing it. Technically I have at least 15 different voices that I can think of off the top of my head.

I have a very good evil laugh. Scare people almost daily with it. My history teacher in 9th grade wanted a recording to he could whip it out at key moment. Rolling Eyes
Alarra

Hmm...let's see...dunno if any of this is interesting....

I have one large scar on my body. It is on my hip and it is from brain surgery. Think on it for a bit, then maybe I'll explain...

I am terribly clumsy. I walk into walls all the time and have 'almost' turned my ankle, from doing nothing but just walking across a room, more times than I can count. I'd say daily. Yet, surprisingly, I have never actually broken or sprained my ankle, although it hurts randomly.

You wouldn't know it from the way I am online....but I have a very bad temper and it takes very little to piss me off.

I am very allergic to cats, yet have always owned at least one, usually more.

I am very good liar and can be quite manipulative.

I always have a song playing in my head. Usually more than one. They will often stay for months at a time.

I am terribly nervous about roleplaying and reread posts a dozen times before posting them. This manifests itself in im and real life games in a tendency to sit and say nothing.

I pick up accents very easily, a day in a foreign country and I'm speaking in an accent. Hell, at times I'll even pick them up from reading books.
DeBunny

^ I've been known to take accents from books. Along with other quirks too. What can I say, I'm a characteristic thief.
J. Muller

One year I had a summer camp counselor who was British. By the time the camp was over all ten of the kids he was counselor for, including me, had picked up English accents.
wxdruid

It's not about me, it's about my cat....

Jessie (my cat) loves to play fetch with a small crinkly ball and she loves to play hide and seek.
Shadow of the Sun

I don't have an evil laugh. I have an insane one.

I can also frighten people really well with my eyes...I can keep them completely expressionless. Like a dead man.

That, and I can stare for 45 minutes straight.

I can also look like a madman perfectly well.

It's all about the eyes.
wxdruid

When I was in elementary school, I was chased around the playground by a bunch of idiots. It ended nicely because I found an adult. No, I was not popular, rather the opposite (red hair tends to stand out quite a bit) and quite frankly I'm glad I left them all behind.

Actually, Purdue has a Creative Writing Major. I believe we also have a Professional Writing one too.

Interesting about me? Maybe later if you're nice. Wink
Timberwolf

Oh, I play the trumpet and E flat horn, love Brass Band music, want an E flat trumpet (very expensive) and B flat Cornet (less so), hate rap and love bad Sci Fi / fantasy tv shows to the extent of staying up till stupid o'clock to watch Monkey.
Vael

Ooo, yeah, E-flat trumpets do come with a hefty price.
As for rap- rap is not music. It is rhythmic mumbling, sometimes without the rhythm.

F Horn player here. Normal double horn, so really it is F / B-flat. I have a little skill with the trumpet.
Timberwolf

1500 is sort of standard for a good brand new E flat trumpet ($3000). If you're willing to go for a cheapy one then it's still 700. *scours Ebay again !*
Exachix

Hmm... what can I say...

I am a forum addict... my current 'active' count is at 4... maybe more... yeah... 5.
Most of them are Roleplay forums.
I am 'inactive' on many more.

I am childish... I still have cuddly toys that I adore *hugs Fox toy... and dragon toys... and blanket*. I also have the most fun with bubble wrap anyone can have.

I have too much technology... 3 computers alone in this room.
The primary one... I have been through 4 motherboards... at least.
1 - Was ok.
2 - Got so I could use dual core... broke by updating bios.
3 - Got when 2 broke... same type as 4.. - Broke as memory controller died.
4 - Current (ATI Sapphire Pure Innovation board). Running ok... at the moment.

I can't keep a beat.. makes me bad at music.

I love Sci-Fi... I watched: Stargate, Andromeda, Star Trek, and Farscape!!

I love Land rovers.
We are building one... which will be mine (Series two). And I've worked out how it'll be painted already... but we still need a chassis!!. *sigh*

EDIT:
I like alot of bands...
Spoiler:

A-ha.
Alan Parsons.
Bruce Springsteen
Cat Stevens
The Charlie Daniels Band
Chris Rea
Dire Straits
ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)
Fleetwood Mac
Genesis
Hayseed Dixie
Meat Loaf
Mike + the Mechanics
Nickel Creek
Pink Floyd

I random air guitar, especially when wearing a suit coat because then the buttons act like guitar strings.
Gnrlshrimp

I get along better with cats than your average human...

And I'm a pesimist, and a really bad one at that. I worry that I've forgotten my pen, that one of my pets will die whilst I'm at school, that the car will break down (Oh wait, it breaks down all the time so that one doesn't really count), that I'll get run over by a car, that my snake will escape and eat one of my cats...you get the idea, I always think the worst will happen...always.

I once talked to a squirrel. It's true. It said some funny noises to another squirrel, probably something like "I like nuts!", and I mimicked those sounds, probably screwing it up and saying something like "I like your nuts!". The squirrel actually turned to me and replied, most likely something along the lines of "You're nuts! Go away!" Then it jumped off into the woods, probably to warn the other squirrels about that odd-looking kid running around.

Anyway, that was two.

I have that tendency as well, in everything I write. It's not as bad as it has been, I used to reread everything I wrote atleast 20 times or so, now I'm probably down to 5 times. I also have a tendency to go completely nuts over tiny details that noone else cares about.

That was 3. I like that number, but I like 23 the best. That's my favourite number.

My brother is Autistic... but to what extent I do not know... and I don't know the exact details...
wxdruid

There are some writers that learn how to write well, through lots and lots of practice.

My youngest sister is autistic, but she more or less lives on her own with some help from an agency and my mother helps her with her finances.
Geomancer

Gnrl, I welcome you into my brotherhood of short people. I happen to be 5'3" but I tell people 5'4".

A know Damon in real life and his "wikitallness" make us a funny pair when seen together.

My real name is Jonah. I was named after a movie title. (Jonah who will be 20 in the real 2000, or something like that)

I love acting, especially improv which is why I enjoy RPing so much. (RPing=persistent improv)
The Chilli God

Urgh, reading through other people's stuff, I missed a few things.

I plays the guitar. Classical Acoustic Guitar. Classical as in, I don't know any tunes from the 1900's or later.

I suspects myself of at least Aspergers. But I can't be bothered to go down and get myself officially diagnosed.

I has a really low wisdom score. Somewhere around 6 or 7. Seriously, you can say something right to my face, and I'd have to ask you to repeat it. I don't get sarcasm most of the time, I'm very naive, and I suck at snap decisions.

I'm also love acting. But I'm not rather good at improv since, as I said, I take a long while to make decisions. Script for me, thank you!
Geomancer

W00t, acting!
wxdruid

I played the violin (for 8 years), the piano off and on and took one semester of Harp in college.

All the guys in my family are very artistic, me less so, but not without a little talent.

Currently I carry an M16 around and I hate the heat in Iraq.

Now, I take a different attitude, that being "I honestly don't care if you like me or not since there are very few people I actually like." It works pretty well, I never assume people are in a bad mood because of me, I don't care if it's my fault or not...
Damon

I thought of more. My collar bone on my right side sticks up comically from falling while playing frisbee. It broke if you were wondering.

I rotted part of my stomach from the medicine that came with keeping the pain away. Its healed now.

Did I mention I was going to learn to play Bass?

I enjoy acting also. I'm in a show almost year round. By that I mean I do 4 shows a year.

Also for some reasons after I read my posts I swear at myself because if, say, Necro, had written the same thing. His would just look better than mine. Same font and shape and everything, its just it seems my posts lack luster.
Baeleck

A few more things:

Fact #2 - My backbone sticks out like a stegosaurus' back when I lean over. Mainly 'cause I'm awful skinny and tall.

#3 - I hate acting in front of audiences.

#4 - I play the keyboard, but not to that great a degree of skill.

Yeah, that sounds like me as well. But it's weird, because I only feel like that on the internet. I guess it's pretty sad when you care what the people you will likely never meet think about you more then the flesh and blood entities around you think. But it's just the way my mind works. Most people think I'm very different. 'Separate' is the one I hear the most.

That's possibly the worst thing to put at the bottom of a pool, ever. The only things I can think that would be even worse would be shards of broken glass and used, bloody hypodermic needles.

And from what I heard...Aspergers is less common with girls, but its more noticable, seeing as most girls are very good with people...

And I've seen a few other aspies on the forums...there was a thread about it a while ago...*Goes to find*
Xaspian

Yeah. from what I've read, Asperger's Syndrome is similar to an extreme version of the typical male mind, good with systems and patterns, compared to the typical female mind, which is better at empathy. I think that my (female) cousin also has AS, but generally it is much less likely in girls. Partly due to the difference in 'typical' male and female minds. Or something.

Pah. Those normaly people will never understand us. Very Happy
Nevrmore

Deadly

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of attention on it lately, and I'm honestly not sure it's really deserved. I get the feeling a lot of people are applying the title "aspergers" to just about anything and everyone these days, and I have no doubt that most of this is done by people who have absolutely no idea what aspergers is.

Or it might just be a coincidence. I hope so.

Just about everyone have some of the symptoms to some degree. Being antisocial is just a tiny part of the spectrum of symptoms, and I'm sure there are plenty of Aspies who are very social. I can be very social when I want to, but most of the time I'm fine on my own Smile
Wukei

No, I read something very specific about symptoms and could acknowledge the AD as something I had from the number of symptoms. I'm just saying it's more likely I'm antisocial, among other things...

I hope so.

Well I'm not surprised, the symptoms for Aspergers are extremely vague and broad. It's the kind of thing someone can look up and think "whoa...I have trouble paying attention to things. And sometimes I do think logically...And I'm a social outcast, too!"

I'm not saying anyone here is faking having it, but it's easy to mis-diagnose.
Deadly

True. It is vague, and at times I've been convinced that I too just suffered from depression and socio phobia or something, and that all the experts were wrong. But since so many experts in the field agree when it comes to me, I'm starting to think that perhaps it's true. Not that I really care, I honestly don't think about it much, and it's not like it affects my life much anymore.

Well I get that.

I'm with you on that one.

Here's one: I'm a Deuteranope:

Set 1 and set 3 look exactly the same to me.
Wukei

Uh...colorblind?
J. Muller

I'm supposedly slightly colorblind, in that I fail some of those dot-shading-number tests they give me. But I see colors fine, so I guess it doesn't affect me too much.

Sets 1 and 3 look similar but definitely not identical to me.
Fax Celestis

I have rather severe colorblindness, yes.
Wukei

A guy on Top Chef said he learned how to tell purple because someone told him eggplant was purple. Otherwise he would have been screwed during the color challenge.
Fax Celestis

I can make guesses, but they're still just guesses.
Wukei

You can always get someone to teach you something that has a constant color, then make connections that way.
J. Muller

Interesting fact I've discovered lately: it is possible to develop lactose intolerance.
The Chilli God

I heard from a lighting specialist that all men are colorblind to a degree. For example, I see ever-so-slightly more red in one eye, and ever-so-slightly more blue in the other.
Life is like that.

Well I get that.
All the time! In fact, I've got a one-up on that.
For roughly half a year in 4th grade, I was thoroughly convinced that I had invented the word 'tranquilizer.' Though I made it up as some sort of hand-held nuclear missile launcher, but that's another story.
You can imagine my surprise when I put 'tranquilizer' into a spelling list ("Think of ten words and spell them correctly!") just for fun, and actually got it correct.
Lykan

Eh... I'm bored.

- I'm Polish, and can speak my people's language fluently. (English is my second language, actually. >_>)
- I have almost every 3.0 and 3.5 D&D book.
- I still have a blanket and some stuffed animals from my childhood.
- I hate my mom. Whether the reasons are unfounded or not is yet to be determined.
- I see a shrink against my will.
- I used to play the violin, but I was told to give that up by my mom because I was bad at it. Whenever I prompt to try a new instrument, this situation is brought up. : P
- My parents are divorced, and my mom is gettng remaried on the 28th. This is not a sensitive issue to me, though it bugs me that I'm only at his house 34.2% of the time.
- Wolves aren't my favourite animal. They are in the top 5, though.
- I get injured in various fasions on a regular basis, though I've never broken a bone. I've had puncture wounds, though.
- Because of [above statement], most of my joints crack when I move.
- I have a dream of doing homebrewing/running a campaign for D&D, but I have issues when creating my own stuff. >_>
- I have no pets which are considered "mine," but my sister has a dog and a cat, my brother has a cat, and the guy who is going to be my stepdad has three cats. Because of this, there is apperently no more room for me to have a pet of my own. : P
- I'm trying to get the people from Dirty Jobs to go to where my dad works.
- I'm terrified of parasites.
- I'm borderline Obsessive Compulsive. I seem to have this mental thing called dermatillomania or something... It makes me not mind scratching holes in my face.
- I have Meneire's Syndrome, which is a balance disorder that has a tendecy to make me fall over at random moments.
- I make avatars, though there's only one avatar of mine that I like.
- I used to play MtG all the time, before my gaming store was shut down.
- I read the MtG and D&D Ebberon novels. Some of them are actually good.
- I have brutal headaches about 70% of the time. I actually measured this over the course of a week with a stopwatch.
- In elementry and middle school, I was part of a gifted program. It was cool, I got to do an expiriment where I duplicated the effects of being blind, deaf, and mute for a week apeice.
- I suffer from moderate paranoia, and am a hypocondriac.

There's more, but I'll leave you guys with that. >_>
Artemis

Hey I was in Gifted classes too. We actually got to build boats in eighth grade. Mine was the biggest Very Happy the teacher told us to make it only 12ft long max, and that was the only requirement. I ended up making it 6ft wide with a 6ft cube of a cabin on the back. It wasn't pretty, but it was pretty cool.
Lykan

I hated th egifted program. It was only good in 5th and in 8th grade. Specifically because I got to just do mindgames all the time. >_>

And crazy expiriments too.
Orange Zergling

More stuff about me:

-I hate boosting my own ego. I feel like I'm being an attention whore whenever I compliment myself, and I often hate my own writing and drawings because of this.
-I have trouble performing. In a group it's better, but I always always always get horrible stage fright. I think it's because my older brother always forcefully took the spotlight as I was growing up, so I just never developed that part of life.
-Said brother has Aspergers Syndrome and is profoundly gifted with an IQ of over 200.
-I have never broken a bone, probably because I am excessively cautious and fearful.
-I have probably spend over a couple thousand dollars total on console/computer games over the years.
-I'm very sad that Command & Conquer has no Skirmish mode.
-I'm also gifted, with an IQ of 141. Never been in a Gifted Program, though.
Destro Yersul

I was never in the gifted program either. I'm told I'm smart, but I was too lazy to actually bother doing much schoolwork. Not doing work leads to not being singled out often.

That's basically the exact same situation I was in.

And also, I despise Math, especially Geometry. Take those shapes and shove them up your ass.
Wukei

The first time I ever failed something was 8th grade...mostly because my history teacher was an idiot (everyone had trouble in that class.) After that...I dunno....I just didn't try as hard anymore...
McBish

I gave up trying after I figured out that I would never really need cursive like all my teachers told me. At that point I figured who cares.
Deadly

I really wanted to learn cursive, but my teachers wouldn't teach me... so I never learned that. I don't care now, but I was really displeased back then

I have never failed anything, though I came very close with math once, because my mind went completely blank. I only managed to finish half of the exam, and just barely passed. Not that it mattered anything anyway.

I actually love math. I didn't back then, but I've had the greatest teacher the past two years. That really means something.

I tend to get only A's and B's, but most of the time I seriously doubt I deserve it.
Moozy

Interesting thing about me: I make a very ... effective ... person (most of the time) to talk to when you want to be cheered up.

For example: Deadly! YOU DESERVE THOSE GRADES! OR ELSE I'LL PUMMEL YOU!

See?
Deadly

Heh, thanks Very Happy

I never really complain about it, I just have to wonder if some people aren't too nice sometimes when they deal out those grades. But maybe it's to make up for those times when you want to scream wildly and smash something in anger because you think you did better. Luckily I've only had one of those experiences, but damn it sucks

Geometry wasn't so bad. Algebra? that sucks soooo much. And I approve of them shoving it up their asses. So far up they can taste it.
Deadly

Algebra is good for killing a lot of time. Geometry is, mostly, a bit bland and boring. Once you get to calculus it starts to get real fun, IMO. Integration is probably my favourite thing, you can have a lot of fun with that... Hopefully I'll have a lot more of that next year, as I feel like I've only just scratched the surface so far.

Well, what did not help my predisposed dislike of Geometry was that my Geo teacher was quite possibly the biggest bitch in the world. Everyone in class was afraid to ask her questions because, instead of answering them, she just called you stupid for not understanding the concept. As a result, most of us had Ds and Fs.
