Afzal is of average height and weight. He has very dark skin, with a slight red tint to it. His upper body is muscular, particularly his shoulders. He has his hair in a ponytail, and it is not very well groomed. If you were to get very close to him, you could smell a faint odor of garbage. His mindblade, if summoned, is dark purple and appers to be slightly curved, like a scimitar.
Afzal was born into a small desert kingdom. The kingdom itself was located in a large river valley, and the only way in or out without having to climb a cilff was guarded day and night. The was only one city of note in the kingdom, and it was the capitol. It was called "Teriemah" and was beatiful, if you did not mind the smell.
The one other curious thing about this kingdom was that everyone in it had the ability to produce a mindblade. No one knows why only these people posses this skill, only that it happens in this valley. This skill has allowed the kingdom to survive, and a strange religon has grown up around the blades. They believe that the color of one's mind-blade states how sinful one was in a previous life. The brighter the color, the better.
Afzal's parents had dark mindblades, and when he was born, it was apparent that his was as well. His twin sister had a gold blade, and was taken almost the moment she emerged from the womb. Afzal has never seen her.
He grew up, accepting the job that had been assigned him since birth. Garbage collector. He was content doing his job. He was not happy, but what better life was there? Most of his life was spent this way. As such, he grew strong. It also helped that he fought in illeagl tournaments.
One day, when he was twenty-eight, an adventuer from the north arrived at the tavern that he was eating at. The man spent money like there was no tomorrow, and Afzal asked where he got it all. The adventuer explained life in the north, and Afzal liked what he was hearing. That night, Afzal stole the man's money, and escaped. It was easy enough to get past the guards, he had hid in the bottom of a garage cart. After leaving the his old life for good, he made his way north, eventually reaching the town.
Unmarried, and has one sister.

Race: Dark Elf (Elder Scrolls)
Zeev is a typical Dunmer, with short dark black hair and red eyes. He is almost always wearing steel armor. When he isn't you can that his frame is thin. On his palm is a small tatoo. It is the symbol of House Redoran.
Zeev was born in Ald'ruhn, and almost died the moment he took his first breath. Only the timly intervention from an Imperial Cult Healer saved his life. In gratitude, his parents joined the Imperial cult, which earned them no friends among the more conservate Dunmer.
As Zeev grew, he was very light, and sickly. The other Dunmer children mocked him, and he was often in fights.
He was about to leave the city when he met the Nerevarine. The Nord knight offerd him his old glass katana, and said he would sponser his joining of the house. Zeev took the chance right away, and started to train as a knight. His experience fighting the other children served him well, and he rose qiuckly through the ranks, all though he was never truly accepted, for he still worshiped at the Imperial Cult.
After the Nervarine left, he married and set about raising a family. That all changed when the Daedra invaded. He fought them for as long he could, but eventually fell. He was saved by a fellow Imperial Cult member, and was brought to the fort. He was out for three days. When he awoke, he learned that Ald'ruhn was gone, and that his famly was dead. He fell into a depression, blaming himself for their deaths. After a while he left Vardenfall to wonder the world. As he traveled, he came across other elves that looked like his kinsmen, only the did not have red eyes. he was disgusted that they worshiped some Daedra prince of spiders, and he killed all that he could find. Finally, he arrived in Town, and decided to live here.
A wife and two children, they all died in the destrction of Ald'ruhn.
Janan looks almost exactly like Afzal, but has a slighter build, and she looks slightly less world wery. Her hair is done up in a elaborte bun. She also smells better. Her mindblade is gold, and as thin as a scalpel.
The only family Janan ever knew was the high priest and his wife. She was raised as priest, and was quite good at it.
When she was twenty, her "father" told her that she was not her daughter, and that she had been adopted. She entertained the idea that she was really a princess for a few years, until the day she got lost in the poor sector of the city.
When she took a wrong turn in the city one day, she was shocked to see the squalor in which the poor lived. As she walked, looking at the people with tears in her eyes, a voice called out to her. It was her birth mother.
As her mother told her about life in the slums, Janan's tears of sadness became tears of anger. She vowed from that day on to fight the injustice. She also vowed to find her brother, who had dissapeared a few days ago.
The next day, she began to prech about the injustices that she saw in the slums, and who's fault it was. The rich. Many people people welcomed the message, but just as many opposed it. The tension came to a head when the high priest, Janan's adopted father, tried to kill he himself. She defened her self, and killed him. When news of this reached the slums, battles broke out. Janan barely escaped.
As she fled north she heard that the city she loved was in flames. Then she heard a rumor that her brother was in a town far to the north. She followed the rumors, and soon arrived in the Town.
