Okay, I'd like to try DMing, bought an adventure so please be patient with me and yes, I have someone to ask questions of, for when I have no clue....

It's called the Sinister Spire and I'm looking for four players. As much as I'd like to include everyone? I'm afraid I would go crazy. It won't be first come first chosen, I'll chose by what makes sense to me and what you write about your character and no, I don't expect a long and involved history of his or her life.

It'll be a 32 point buy for fifth level characters with standard starting gold and equipment and I really don't care if you buy travel rations or not. I do care about any nonstandard equipment or magic and I'll let you know if I think it's totally off the wall.
You can use any book that I have access to, no I really don't want to list them all here, so ask and I'll let you know.
I will expect players to post at least once every one to two days.
I want you to use an online die roller. I want to see you roll and if you keep trying....that will irritate me and I'll do it myself.
All my rolls will be secret.
If you're going to be absent, let me know via PM or in this thread after the game has started. If someone doesn't post for a week or more without letting me know, I reserve the right to find someone to replace them
Have your characters on an online site like Tangled web or Coyote Code

I do want to keep this moving, I want to learn and have fun.

You must be...

You...

You do know that The Sinister Spire is the follow-up adventure to Barrow of the Forgotten King? An adventure that I'm DM'ing right here?

I...

...Never mind. -_- Carry on, don't mind me.
That just made continuing my Barrow campaign into The Sinister Spire into a little less viable of an option...

Okay, I finished early!

May I present Regak Blackiron, the dwarven fighter!

I have some gold to spend, so could somebody please suggest some magic items?

Ah well, and here I was considering joining this. But if all us Barrow players promise not to read this one then we could still run it too without having been spoiled.

Sounds like that would work for you guys.

Anywho, I'm interested.
Not sure what I'll go with though. Possibly a warlock, or other semi-caster type.

Sophistemon,

for your damage with a waraxe you get to + on your STR modifier so it should read 1d10 + 3 (STR mod) and +1 for the extra damage listed in the special properties.

As fifth level you start out with 10,000 XP and I would like to know a little about this dwarf, already I'm curious.

I'm sorry Chilli God

Whoop, sorry about the XP. That was a typo, is all. I was missing a zero. I've fixed it, and made the changes you wanted to Snaga's damage.

And I'm trying to find a better name for the axe. 'Snaga' sounds too goblinesque for my tastes.

And, don't worry. I'm working on a backstory.

No seriously though, there's the Rogue.

A skilled (a friend of mine says skill monkey), a blaster and a tank.

Lacking a healer.

I will play. I think I will make a cleric.

Damian Ergion F. Your Healer, a good old Archivist, and a fine secondary blaster too.

And a curse maniac.

Bestow Curse stands among my prefered spells.

I will review them soon and hopefully start by Thursday, (as long as work cooperates and I get some peace and quiet to review the character sheets). A plan is also coming together in my head for introducing the ever present plot hook and I'll post the IC thread link here when I have it.

Why do I always stumble on these things too late? *le sigh*

Have you closed recruiting, or might you be open to a 5th "utility" character like a ranger or bard?

Kyrian, how did you come up with the + to your damage with a longbow? I believe you didn't use all of your skill points and please put your rogue abilities (like Sneak attack damage, Evasion and Uncanny Dodge).

longbow information
Spoiler:

Longbow, Composite

You need at least two hands to use a bow, regardless of its size. You can use a composite longbow while mounted. All composite bows are made with a particular strength rating (that is, each requires a minimum Strength modifier to use with proficiency). If your Strength bonus is less than the strength rating of the composite bow, you canít effectively use it, so you take a -2 penalty on attacks with it. The default composite longbow requires a Strength modifier of +0 or higher to use with proficiency. A composite longbow can be made with a high strength rating to take advantage of an above-average Strength score; this feature allows you to add your Strength bonus to damage, up to the maximum bonus indicated for the bow. Each point of Strength bonus granted by the bow adds 100 gp to its cost.

Longbow

You need at least two hands to use a bow, regardless of its size. A longbow is too unwieldy to use while you are mounted. If you have a penalty for low Strength, apply it to damage rolls when you use a longbow. If you have a bonus for high Strength, you can apply it to damage rolls when you use a composite longbow but not a regular longbow.

Started The Sinister Spire

Taking all PC's, and a warning, if you die in the adventure, you won't get rezzed until the rest of the party takes you to a town/temple to have it done.
